I believe that what they have released is FAKE. The Great Father Malachi Martin claimed it was much more. Also it did not even make sense to keep it a secret if it is only what the Vatican claims it to be.

I have heard/read many rumors of what the 3rd secret was supposed to be, but have never found any authoritative statement from the Vatican about what it is. Do any of you know?

I have heard/read many rumors of what the 3rd secret was supposed to be, but have never found any authoritative statement from the Vatican about what it is. I've heard all sorts of theories re the supposed "real" contents of the Third Secret, and all of them are apocalyptic in nature. It's the nature of that apocalypse that varies from theory to theory. Papal assassinations, mass apostasy, the rise of communism, and (I am not making this up) warnings about "onanism" to pre-teens.

Thank you. And the apocalyptic theme is what I’ve heard. I think the rise of communism was in the 1st or 2nd “secret” that was released many years ago.

“Since 1957 the document has been stored at the Vatican, as part of the archives of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith. It has only left those quarters twice before: Once, at the request of John Paul II after his 1981 assassination attempt and then in the year 2000, when Tarcisio Bertone, who at that point served as the secretary of the Congregation, met with Sister Lucia in Coimbra, Portugal to confirm that the document was in fact the original. “

The Third Secret of Fatima has already been "revealed" for all interested in the Truth. For anyone who wishes to be seduced by conspiracy theories all one needs do is search for "Third Secret of Fatima Revealed" on their favorite search engine (ignoring any hits to the Vatican website) and "enjoy".
Note, the above link also includes the first two. It also includes a facimilie of the Third.
I suspect the only reason the original of the Third wil now be made public is so that all doubt should be removed once and for all that the facimilie mentioned above is indeed a facimile of the original. That is, it should remove such doubt from anyone who is reasonable.
