The final criminal chapter in the child pornography case against a Northland Catholic priest concluded Friday when the Rev. Shawn F. Ratigan pleaded guilty in Clay County Circuit Court to three counts of possessing child pornography.

There’s a wonderful man who was accused around the same time and although no charges have been filed, he still cannot perform his duties as a priest. He was accused by a man who said that when he, the man not the priest, was 18, that Fr. Mike grabbed his privates while they were playing touch football. Sigh. We really want him back. I hope that when this evil man is locked away that the Archdiocese will feel save enough to stop the madness against my friend’s friend.
