About 50,000 Syrian Christians want to apply for Russian citizenship. In a letter to the Russian Foreign Ministry, they said that they were not planning to flee Syria, but if threatened with physical elimination, they would pin their hopes on Russia as the guarantor of their survival. Analysts think that despite the difficulties their request may involve, it won’t go unheeded.
The letter reached Moscow through diplomatic channels. It says that the West-backed terrorists are prepared to go to any lengths to wipe Christians out of Syria. The authors of the letter have no intention of fleeing the “land on where Jesus walked” and promise to defend their “homeland, dignity and faith”. They see Russia as the guarantor of “peace and stability”. They are not asking for money or humanitarian aid, but just hope to obtain Russian citizenship. “We will be under the protection of Russia if we face the threat of being physically eliminated by terrorists,” the letter says.

I just had a 180 on one of my people here that I had respect for. I walked by in time to hear that person go off on how great Hillary was and that Palin was a complete moron. No more light banter with that person. We’ll see if they notice and ask why? Too bad, I do hold it against people that are stupid and/or facilitate traitors to my country.
Note that this is the same status Russia conferred on the South Ossetians that legally allowed the invasion and subjugation of Georgia for human rights crimes.
Russia punished Georgia for NATO's war on Serbia, and virtually destroyed Western European/NATO control of and goals in Eastern Europe.

Shame really, this person had seemed nice and was relatively quiet. This majorly affects our boss-employee relationship as far as office interaction to their detriment. Luckily they do a pretty fair job.

It is clear that Putin and the larger part of the Russian and Slavic Eastern European peoples were paying attention, and almost no Americans were.
Interestingly, the tactic Putin employed in Georgia, he learned from the American left in Serbia and Kosovo. Putin also learned to detect and expose the false flag, false witness, and official corruption in US/EU/NATO operations, thus the Syrians Christians turning to Russia with hope, rather than sure betrayal by the US.
They will get help from Russia. They will get no help from our corrupt anti-Christian administration.

Sort of, I'm really talking about the political tactics and moral/ethical principles that Russia (Putin) used to justify and validate the invasion of Georgia, and the consequence that Syrian Christians would look to Russia for protection by citizenship rather than risk doublecross by the US.
Russia is far from perfect, but distrust of the US must be very serious in these long standing Christian communities.
Pretty easy choice, really.
That is true, and what our political hacks get out of it are Saudi bribes and payoffs, plus running the petro NG dollars through Western banking and IMF, and keeping the Western European serfs on Western gas while Original North Sea deposits run out.
Russia offers alternative gas supplies but requires the recipients to get off their knees to the EU.
