Moscow, September 23, Interfax - The Council of Muftis of Russia has sharply criticized the decision made by the Novorossiysk Oktyabrsky District Court to ban the book entitled Notional Translation of the Holy Koran into Russian by Azerbaijani philosopher Elmir Kuliyev.
The Council of Muftis said in a statement quoted by its press service that, by banning the main written source of the second largest, most widespread religion in Russia, the court "breaches the Russian Constitution and the norms of international law on freedom of religion and undermines Muslims' faith in Russian law, the Russian judicial system, and the justice practiced by Russian authorities."
The authors of the statement called on the authorities to stop "the practice of banning Muslims' traditional religious literature."
Ravil Gainutdin, the head of the Council of Muftis of Russia, demanded that the case be re-tried and involve experts on Islam.
Kuliyev was once awarded a medal of the Council of Muftis for Spiritual Unification. Another book by him, entitled On the Way to Koran, was recognized as extremist in 2012.
At the same time, Farid Salman, the head of the Ulema Council of the All-Russian Muslim Board, has agreed with the Novorossiysk court decision. He told Interfax-Religion that, from a theological viewpoint, Kuliyev's views agree with the views "of the Salafi school, not the sect of Islam that is traditionally practiced by Russia's Muslims."
I'll go do some research, but that seems to be a pretty bold statement.
Islam with Russian pride and determination (to ALSO conquer the world ... ) is volitile.
58,800,000 or 41% are Russian Orthodox,
9,400,000 or 6.5% are Muslims
BIG difference
The entire hate filled ideology should be banned.
I’m pretty sure one can still get a copy of Mein Kampf. As revolting as islam and its pornographic scriptures are, I don’t think book banning is the solution.
Muslims will tell you that one must know Arabic and be able to read the Quran in its original form to understand it, when one uses the Quran against them. So this seems a good approach, all translations should be banned and the book only available in the pure Arabic language.
Use Islamicfinder.org and have some gas available for when the time comes......
Sure, just like you can print and distribute The Holy Bible in Muslim countries, right?
The Muslims are pretty much the reason Russia is having population growth right now. The late Irish rebel (and Member of Parliament) Bobby Sands once quipped “our revenge will be the laughter of our children.” In other words, demographics matter. Eventually, if birth rates don’t change, Muslims will be calling the shots in Russia, just as the Catholic/Protestant ratio in Ulster is now 50-50.
Martin Luther wrote the following:
(On the occasion of Oporinus’ translation of the Koran into Latin, and it thus being available in the West in 1542)
“It has struck me that one is able to do nothing more grievous to Muhammad or the Muslims, nor more to bring them to harm (more than with all weaponry) than to bring their Koran to Christians in the light of day, that they may see therein, how entirely cursed, abominable, and desperate a book it is, full of lies, fables and abominations that the Muslims conceal and gloss over ... to honour Christ, to do good for Christians, to harm the Muslims, to vex the devil, set this book free and don’t withhold it ... One must open sores and wounds in order to heal them.”
You’d think Russia was doing enough by helping Islamist enemies of the west with their nuclear weapons buildups.
Russia is doing everything it can to keep from being Islam's target.
Russia's president devoted the largest part of his annual State of Russia speech to reversing Russia's population decline.
If Russian couples have a third child, they will get a baby bonus, better health care, and free land to build a house or dacha, Russian President Dmitri Medvedev promised in his annual State of Russia speech.
Political analysts were hoping to hear about missiles or democracy. Instead they got babies.

What he did not say is that Russia compensates for its aging workforce by importing about 10 million laborers a year from Central Asia. After the United States, Russia is now the second-largest importer of workers. This influx of overwhelmingly Muslim workers creates tensions in Russia, where the population is largely Orthodox Christian.
"In August 2012 the first-ever sociological survey and mapping of religious adherents in Russia based on self-identification was published, with data on 79 out of 83 of the federal subjects of Russia.[1][6][7] Out of a population of 142,800,000 the survey found that 58,800,000 or 41% are Russian Orthodox, 9,400,000 or 6.5% are Muslims (including Sunni Islam, Shia Islam, and a majority of unaffiliated Muslims), 5,900,000 or 4.1% are unaffiliated Christians, 2,100,000 or 1.5% adhere to other Orthodox Churches (including Ukrainian, Georgian, Armenian and other churches)
I've got to go out ... but I'll chase down further the source(s),
