Heavenly Father –

May we remember our heritage and the brave men and women who sacrificed for the cause of freedom and paid forward the gift of liberty to the generations yet to be born.

Give us, Father, a spirit of repentance to confess our sins as individuals as well as our sins as a nation. May we turn to You, the Author of our Freedom – and claim the promise that in Christ Jesus we are truly made free.

Protect all Your servants who serve, home or abroad, and put themselves in harm’s way to keep us safe. Bless all Your servants in You tend care so we may pass a legacy of freedom and faith to a thousand generations.

Our hearts are heavy with fear that the evil forces that hover over us will descend upon us and destroy us and everything that we hold dear. We come to You to ask that you spread your veil of protection around us, our country, and especially our heroes who struggle mightily every day to defend us. We appreciate all the You and our heroes do to keep us safe, and we promise to love and support You and these faithful servants all the rest of our days.
