Generalizations and stereotyping are not Christian methods of proper civilized debate.

How do you know for certain that catholics are the ones perverting scripture? The devil is the Father of Lies and sometimes manages to influence all of us, despite our best resistance. Since the reformation (deformation) many great Christian minds have been able to refute Luther and his followers’ perversions of scripture.
