One thing is certain... someone with a similar conviction of the President of Chile might not be elected President of the United States (much less Senator for the State of Missouri).

Hopefully both will be okay. Her body really isn’t ready for child birth.

One question about all this: why is it when I wanted the baby -- it was a baby, and when I didn't -- it was something else?

Does anyone really wonder why the elites and politicians never stop pushing for abortion? Really?

Chile more civilized than the US? Who would’a thunk it?

I don't know how physically mature this girl is, but she is at least mature enough emotionally to recognize the right to life for the baby growing within her body. It IS after all her right to have this baby. If an abortion is forced on her, she will have to deal with the trauma of having been raped for several years as well as her baby being killed because of it. Girls her age in the past have been able to have a safe pregnancy. If she was physically able to conceive a baby, she should also be able to physically bear and give birth to this baby. She, obviously, will need help from the family and community to take care of this child and so that she is able to continue in her education. Perhaps she will realize her child will be better taken care of by adoptive parents but it should be her decision to make and not one forced on her by those who presume to know better what is best for her - certainly not by those who insist she abort her child.

It's too bad we don't have more leaders in this country who respect life like this president does.

Depending on the girl's physical maturity, she may be able to give birth safely, and I would hope that a competent doctor is helping her. Much better choice that having her baby killed and spending the rest of her life with that weight. It sounds as though good foster parents are need for both mother and baby. Good for the Chilean President!

Anyone wanting on/off any of my pinglists, freepmail me.
