I don't know how physically mature this girl is, but she is at least mature enough emotionally to recognize the right to life for the baby growing within her body. It IS after all her right to have this baby. If an abortion is forced on her, she will have to deal with the trauma of having been raped for several years as well as her baby being killed because of it. Girls her age in the past have been able to have a safe pregnancy. If she was physically able to conceive a baby, she should also be able to physically bear and give birth to this baby. She, obviously, will need help from the family and community to take care of this child and so that she is able to continue in her education. Perhaps she will realize her child will be better taken care of by adoptive parents but it should be her decision to make and not one forced on her by those who presume to know better what is best for her - certainly not by those who insist she abort her child.

It's too bad we don't have more leaders in this country who respect life like this president does.

you know, I've been wading in the muck on HuffPo to try and see what liberals think and it's crazy --> they persist in calling a fetus "a collection of cells" -- in fact some of them call it "a parasite since it feeds off the mother"

you tell them that the fetus has a heartbeat from 8 weeks so scientifically speaking it is an individual human being, and they ask "but can it survive without medical help?" and I reply "ok, neither can many patients in the hospital -- are they no longer human to you?" and I get silence

then they bring out their "big weapon" saying "what if these children had lived, think of the money saved from welfare"......

And they accuse US of thinking only about money.....

the welfare state encourages this thinking -- it is evil, evil, evil -- end all SS, Medicare, Medicaid etc.

And what I really, REALLY hate is when these liberal fools say "you are saying this because you are Catholic -- leave your religion and chose science" -- what??? I'm an engineer and I KNOW science is "what you can measure or experimentally prove" -- while these libnuts make "science" into a religion

Science and religion are not antagonistic except in liberal minds -- you ask them anything scientific and they turn out to have liberal arts degrees....
