Syrian terrorists have beheaded a Catholic priest who they accused of collaborating with the Assad regime. Those accusations have not yet been verified. Father Francois was summarily executed and the Vatican has confirmed the martyrdom.
VATICAN CITY (Catholic Online) - The Vatican is confirming the death by beheading of Franciscan Father, Francois Murad, who was martyred by Syrian jihadists on June 23.

On Sunday, June 23 the Syrian priest François Murad was killed in Gassanieh, in northern Syria, in the convent of the Custody of the Holy Land where he had taken refuge. This is confirmed by a statement of the Custos of the Holy Land sent to Fides Agency. The circumstances of the death are not fully understood. According to local sources, the monastery where Fr. Murad was staying was attacked by militants linked to the jihadi group Jabhat al-Nusra.
Father François, 49, had taken the first steps in the religious life with the Franciscan Friars of the Custody of the Holy Land, and with them he continued to share close bonds of spiritual friendship. After being ordained a priest he had started the construction of a coenobitic monastery dedicated to St. Simon Stylites in the village of Gassanieh.After the start of the Civil War, the monastery of St. Simon had been bombed and Fr. Murad had moved to the convent of the Custody for safety reasons and to give support to the remaining few, along with another religious and nuns of the Rosary.

Without a doubt, that is the grisliest sight I’ve ever witnessed. The savage beheading took place in front of kids, who appeared to be enjoying the spectacle. The beheaders have earned a confirmed seat on Charon’s boat. The victims are on their way to heaven, having been martyred for their faith.
Yes, I have been saying all along that I am far less worried by Mexican “illegals” than I am by the Muslim “legals” that Obama has been bringing here, even taking out of the Latin American quota to bring them in (most Latin Americans don’t know this).
Illegals will go away, either when the economic demand dries up or when their own economy improves. Legally imported, completely non-vetted and then government-subsidized Muslims will not.

Actually, most Catholics who go to Mass regularly didn’t vote for him. The problem is that when surveys ask people of traditionally Catholic descent for their religious identity, they will say “Catholic” even if they haven’t set foot in a church since their baptism.
I think the clergy was not good about speaking out and the Catholic turnout and vote would have been better if they had, but don’t blame Catholics for electing Obama. We’re not the majority here.
So what is the Pope doing about this atrosity? He should go the UN and tell the world how blood thirsty Islamic Jihadists are a threat to humanity world wide.

Most definitely not true — you are very misinformed.
We have members on the church staff who drive around with Obama/Biden stickers on their cars and they are not black.
I personally know of a well-to-do lawyer and his wife who voted for Obama and they attend Mass every Sunday.
Heck, how many spectators were recording the "event" with their cell phones?
