This reminds me of something C.S. Lewis wrote. Summarizing: Paganism was a pre-cursor to Christianity, our modernist culture lacks even this; and, it would be an improvement for it to become pagan as a step in the right and necessary direction.
They valued family, though infanticide controlled numbers, so you saw family formation; then again, their immortality was often based on having descendants, especially sons.
They had sexual morality. Prostitution was universal, but sexual restraint by women was expected. Most children were born to married women, except in the case of slaves or via rape.
There was tolerance of Judaism by the Romans because it was so ancient. There is far less tolerance of Christians today by the neo-pagan elite.
Women of status were at that level due to marriage, motherhood, religious affiliation like priestesses and accomplishments. Today, status is more often based on how outrageous ones' actions are or how sacrilegious your actions are.
Class systems favored farmers, ranchers and artisans (those who produced) over actors and singers. Today, that is reversed. Beggars, at the lowest level in Japanese and Indian society, are held up as objects of pity or respect today.
Family members took care of each other, especially in old age. Today, neo-pagans discuss how to put Mom in a Medicaid paid facility to keep the house or death with dignity, aka, matricide.
I'd qualify that statement; the neo-pagans don't reject Christ, but pre-empt him by molding his image into their own to worship. Basically idolatry.
