Cardinal O’Malley: ‘Difficult to forecast’ pope’s successor

Cardinal Sean O’Malley said he and the world’s other cardinals are still “trying to learn more” about their colleagues before choosing Pope Benedict XVI’s successor, he told reporters in Rome today.

“You’re faced with a number of choices, but I don’t think any of us have gone in saying, ‘This is who I would vote for,’” O’Malley said at a press conference. “We are still in a process of discernment and prayer and trying to learn more. … We all recognize their talent and their goodness and competence.”

Cardinal Tagle would fit in that block! :) I found another article written today about him:
...Lingayen-Dagupan Emeritus Archbishop Oscar Cruz on Tuesday said that Tagle had an equal chance like any other cardinal.

Also, Cruz did not see Tagle's age as a stumbling block. “When John Paul II was elected pope, he was 58 at that time.”

Tagle, at 55, is the second youngest member of the College of Cardinals.

“He [Tagle] is a very powerful fellow, humble and good. I haven’t seen him mad, he is always smiling, so I think he’s good,” Cruz concluded. http://www.gmanetwork.com/news/story/297070/news/nation/college-of-cardinals-may-be-open-to-tagle-as-next-pope-church-law-professor-says
Tagle also has a Facebook page that looks very popular: https://www.facebook.com/ArchbishopTagle

As you say, "It remains to be seen." Prayers continue.

.....And even they may not even be the ones likely chosen to be Pope.

Consider also the global south because the Church has grown bigtime.

Overall, it is all in God’s hands.

You've got to be joking, right? Inviting Obama to the Al Smith dinner, weeks before the presidential election, was no different than a high school girl accepting a prom date with the jock who had raped her a week earlier.

I said he’d be a good POPE, not a good PRESIDENT!

So you wouldn’t mind Pope Dolan hamming it up with Obama in the Vatican, like he does now as a Cardinal??

With the way Donald Cardinal Wuerl has been seeking interviews from whomever, he may even exit as a crow rather than a cardinal.

I’m for Tagle or Burke. That pretty much means it won’t be either of them.
