We have several friends that don't want to use fly spray around young children and pet birds, and young puppies.
They're using about 10 fly paper strips, changed out twice a day, and each strip has hundreds of flies on it, before they're changed.
I've never seen anything like this before.

As far as reading predicting books, I wouldn't exactly call this predicting, as much as a comparison to what has already happened.
If you don't want to read the book. at least look at the article linked under the book.

The Harbinger: The Ancient Mystery That Holds the Secret of America's Future is built around Isaiah 9:10
and will probably focus around that (I haven't finished reading the book) on through Isaiah 10 and into Isaiah 11 where Jesus returns.

Sounds like a pretty wimpy excuse for a plague to me. Call me when the Mississippi turns to blood.

I live in Eastern Kansas and we always have a fly problem in the summer. The fact that we live a few hundred yards from a stable and about a mile from a cattle exchange probably has a lot to do with it.

The worst fly problem I ever saw was two summers ago while camping in the Idaho panhandle. The only place you could get any relief was by staying by the campfire (apparently, flies don't like smoke). My sons and I went out shooting but finally quit because it was hard to concentrate on aiming when there was this constant swarm of flies around your face. Once I violently shook my arm to dislodge all the flies and then held my arm out for about 30 seconds - my sons counted at least 70 flies on my arm - and I swear, I showered that morning. It was unbelievable.

They weren’t quite that bad in Western Kansas and I am sure the feedlots were the main problem.

I grew up on a farm in NW Florida and no matter what we did, there was always corn borers on the tips of the corn. Usually you pulled the ears before they got too much. In Western Kansas the corn was always perfect, not even a sign of corn borers. They probably just didn’t live out there.

How about OBEY GOD ?
If I read scripture correctly, most people won't even know it's happening until AFTER it has already happened.

Interesting, that’s rare up here. I’ve never encountered it just across the stateline in Washington (or visiting northern Idaho, for that matter). Generally bothered only by a few indoor flies.

How is that different from BEFORE?

That’s my point. This book changes nothing for Christians, that’s why I don’t bother. It’s a lot of fear mongering and hand wringing and wailing over what?

The 2nd coming? Hello, today would be a good day, I won’t have to cook or do dishes and laundry tomorrow.

I’m out of patience with the human race, apparently God isn’t or He’d have been here yesterday. Looks like I will have to wait.

Looks like I’m not the skeptic.

I'm waiting to see if that Obama *ice* sculpture will attract flies.

I agree. I lived in Idaho for about 45 years before moving and spent most of my summers camping and I never saw anything close to that experience.

Even when hunting in the early season when it's still warm, I never had that many blowflies show up to fresh offal piles. Initially, I thought maybe we set up camp by some attractant but it was pretty much the same everywhere we went on part of the Coeur d'Alene River.

Well, let's see. IF Mississippi leads the nation in church attendance (which they do);
...and if they're fairly low on the # of abortions per capita (which they are)...
...and IF this is actually some sort of mini-judgment...
...THEN at least one New Testament passage kicks in as "current":
For it is time for judgment to begin with God’s household; and if it begins with us, what will the outcome be for those who do not obey the gospel of God? (1 Peter 4:17)

Good logic, but why?
I'm guessing, but I think the answer is somewhere in this list.

Honestly, it was an accident, but it happened.
What doesn't show up in the "preview" doesn't get noticed and corrected.
I'm human and it will probably happen again.
