I left the church many decades ago as “Revolution Theology” took hold. The embrace of marxism and socialism places the church at odds with many of the Ten Commandments. Especially thou shalt not; steal, covet, bear false witness, and kill to name a few. Good luck to you in the coming days. Christians will be persecuted once again and I believe it will be worse than in Roman days.

You never leave the Catholic Church. You are baptized and thus a Catholic forever. There may be some similar stories here.

I left the church many decades ago as Revolution Theology took hold. The church lost many of us when they showed the depth of humanism that has enveloped its teachings. I received communion as a Catholic for the last time on a Sunday morning in 2000 in a church in Clear Lake, Texas. Flyers were passed out after the mass stating that anyone who was pro-death penalty could not in good conscience receive "Holy Communion'. In all honesty, the church had lost me a long time before then. The happy ending: I found my misplaced faith shortly afterward and never looked back again.
