Last week, Cardinal Timothy Dolan raised his objections to proposed abortion legislation in New York. Now the state Catholic Conference has issued a point-by-point memo that makes clear how extreme Governor Andrew Cuomos proposal really is. The memo below comes from the conference website.

Only state and religious hospitals ok with hacking babies to bits will remain if this goes through.
This was within hours of his tearful speech about rushing new gun regulations through to protect children.
Hopefully Cardinal Dolan can successfully marshal enough people to stop this, but I doubt it.
New York is a completely lost cause, and Catholic voters in NY support Democrats anyway. If Cuomo is the Democrats next Presidential candidate, you can bet approximately 50%+ of Catholics will vote for him. Maybe the Catholic Church leadership will finally realize that the secular left (Democrats in this country) are their enemy, and begin a sustained campaign to get their flock to vote conservative. I won’t hold my breath for that to happen though.

Can I get an individual exclusion for conscience sake to Obamakare? On Medicare; he has been taking money out of Medicare to put it onto Obamakare, which includes abortion. - I fear God more than the government.
the dnc/socialist position:
We will protect our kids if mom doesn’t abort them first. because we care about our kids, but only if we want them.
January 9, 2013 Governor Andrew M. Cuomo Executive Chamber State Capitol Albany, NY 12224
Dear Governor Cuomo:
Congratulations on your third State of the State message earlier today. There is much to cheer in your report, and my brother bishops and I look forward to working with you to advance much of this agenda. In particular, we share your absolute horror at the many incidents of gun violence that have had such a terrible impact on our society, none more so than the unspeakable massacre of 26 innocent children and women at Sandy Hook Elementary School on December 14. We commit ourselves to working with you to address this urgent problem as you look toward meaningful reforms of our gun laws, improvements in care for the mentally ill, and safer schools.
Allow me also to single out for praise your continued interest in reforming and improving our states health care system, as well as your support for a long-overdue increase in the states minimum wage. I am hopeful that real progress can be made in these and other areas that enhance the lives of those who are living below or near the poverty level in our state. Yes, there is much to praise. However, I would be remiss if I did not renew my great disappointment regarding your continued support for the radical Reproductive Health Act. I know that you appreciate the fact that millions of New Yorkers of all faiths, or none at all, share a deep respect for all human life from conception to natural death. I also know that you are aware that New York States abortion rate is, incredibly, double the national average. Sadly, nearly 4 in 10 pregnancies statewide end in abortion. In some parts of New York City, the rate is higher than 60 percent, mostly in the impoverished Black and Latino communities.
As we have discussed in the past, we obviously disagree on the question of the legality of abortion, but surely we are in equally strong agreement that the abortion rate in New York is tragically high. There was a time when abortion supporters claimed they wanted to make abortion safe, legal, and rare. Yet this measure is specifically designed to expand access to abortion, and therefore to increase the abortion rate. I am hard pressed to think of a piece of legislation that is less needed or more harmful than this one. Is Cuomo the real antiChrist? Or co-antiChrist with the Kenyan?
Apparently America’s enemies have decided that this is the time to go all in. We are facing a sudden and shocking level of disregard for human decency, well beyond the mild to moderate violations of the Bill of Rights that we had grown accustomed to. My first instinct is to hope and pray that the left will pull back from their extremism, but I wonder whether it might be better for America to have this out now, even if Obama and his minions push it far enough to trigger another civil war. If that disaster is inevitable, we may be better off facing it now than suffering slowly and then still defending ourselves in a civil war.
Pretty weak letter.
Not a single word about excommunication...

OBAMA: IF WE CAN SAVE ONE CHILD ‘WE SHOULD TAKE THAT STEP’
Referring to gun control instead of abortion on demand
I thought the same thing. As I was watching Cujo go insane on guns I thought, “but let’s kill the unborn at will”.
Pretty weak shepherds.
✔ Disarming the innocent.
✔ Socialized medicine.
✔ Crushing job creators.
P.S.: Oh, about the baby killing. I kinda wish you wouldn't do that. But as for the rest of your leftist agenda, it's all good.
Up is down, down is up. The oppressing left WILL not see the hypocrisy, and it’s not that they CAN’T. They are of Satan and can do no good.
Dagger John Hughes would have written something with a different tone.
Civil war is coming, I have been predicting this.
I predict a second American civil war, MARK MY WORDS.
