I don't know . . . does Israel really need more chrstians in its armed forces, or with a greater voice in the government? Wouldn't that lead to a bi-religious, if not secular, state rather than a "Jewish" one?

Theologically the Arab Christian denominations have embraced replacement or supersessionist beliefs that allow them to hate Jews and be kindred spirits with Arab muslims in their denial of Jewish legitimacy. Certainly puts many Christians in a difficult position.
