The story is in the comments. In the original post he speaks of the Holy Bible as "the leatherbound love letters of God." Would that we might read and cherish them!

Good post. I would just add that reading the Bible isn’t simply about getting something from God-although that is indeed true. I would suggest that it’s an indication of our love of God. It should be our desire to hear God’s word whether we feel we are getting anything out of it or not. It’s like wanting to spend time with a good friend. If we don’t understand this principle there is something wrong with our relationship.
