Atheists for Obama (Great news for Democrats)

Americans are losing their religion, and that’s good news for Democrats. So says Pitzer College prof Phil Zuckerman in a fascinating breakdown in Bloomberg Businessweek. Americans have long been more religious than almost all other Western societies, but that’s changing fast, reports Pitzer: Which is good news for Democrats, because “63 percent of nonreligious Americans support the Democratic Party, with only 26 percent supporting Republicans.”

Bye, bye Democrats. Athiests are not as likely to have kids and are into YOLO (you only live once). This bodes ill for the long range plans and continuity of the organization.

Athiests are not as likely to have kids

Which is why they become public school teachers and college professors and spend all their time recruiting faithful people's children.

They reproduce parasitically, not naturally.

I don’t suppose you have any proof of that? Both of my children were born when I was just shy of being a militant atheist.

The problem is that Christians and conservatives turn their children over to government schools and the debauched culture to be trained. Handing your children over to the enemy is a most curious strategy for victory.

There are some serious problems with this.

To start with, many Americans became “nonreligious”, *not* because they wanted to leave their church, but because “their church left them.”

Right now several large denominations are effectively having schisms, in which liberals have taken over the leadership, so the conservative rank and file are “voting with their feet.”

So, while numerically smaller, these new conservative churches are rapidly becoming the “real religions” of America, as the liberal churches fade away.

And for a time, it will appear in the statistics that atheists are having a big upswing. But just because someone is not attending church does not mean they are an atheist.

But it likely does mean that when they start going back to church, it will not be to a liberal church.

“63 percent of nonreligious Americans support the Democratic Party Ironclad proof that nonreligious are no smarter than the general public. And compelling evidence they may in fact be much dumber as well. I wonder what exactly is so great about Europe that seems to convince lib kids we need to be siphoning off their decaying apathetic religious culture

That is how lib/socialist operate. Wether its a church, or the media, or California or Sports.
They insert themselves, after the fact, into positions of power and then the sensible people willingly abandon or leave as a matter of survival the new imposed socialist order.

You had two kids. That’s not quite replacement level, which I think is something like 2.2. Do you know any atheists who had or have large families— four or more? In general, atheist or not, I don’t notice that many large families, but when I do, they are faith-based.

Yeah, my family physician has 10, count’m 10 children, and he’s a secular Jew. When the last two (twins) were born, I did offer to explain why this keeps happening to him.

Excellent point. I'll to it. To too many Christians, and atheist is anyone who is not a Christian. For many years I was an atheist. Then after the passing of my father, I started attending a baptist church, confessed, was baptized, yada yada. I eventually came to the conclusion that I thought I believed, because I was emotionally damaged. As that damage began to heal, I realized I could not really embrace the Christian faith.

However, I never went back to being an atheist. I'm still left with the belief that there is something bigger out there, I just don't believe it's Jesus. Still, that undefined belief would make me an atheist in many run of the mill Christian's lexicons.

LITTLE GIRL ON A PLANE

An atheist was seated next to a little girl on an airplane and he turned

to her and said, “Do you want to talk?

Flights go quicker if you strike up a conversation with your fellow passenger.”

The little girl, who had just started to read her book, replied to the

total stranger, “What would you want to talk about?”

Oh, I don’t know,” said the atheist. “How about why there is no God,

or no Heaven or Hell, or no life after death?” as he smiled smugly.

“OK,” she said. “Those could be interesting topics but let me ask

you a question first.

A horse, a cow, and a deer all eat the same stuff - grass.

Yet a deer excretes little pellets, while a cow turns out a flat patty,

but a horse produces clumps.

Why do you suppose that is?

The atheist, visibly surprised by the little girl’s intelligence, thinks

about it and says, “Hmmm, I have no idea.”

To which the little girl replies, “Do you really feel qualified to discuss

why there is no God, or no Heaven or Hell, or no life after death,

when you don’t know shit?”

And then she went back to reading her book.

Sounds like you are a “righteous gentile”, described in Judaism as Noahidism.
