For eight years, at the initiative of Evangelical Protestant Churches of Paris-Ile de France and organized by the association A Bible Foyer, a "Marathon of the Bible" is held in Paris, Place de la Bastille. For four days and three nights, the Bible is read, discussed, prayed. A peaceful demonstration - I attended a part of this gathering here three or four years - is public and free. On September 30, the site of the event stated that the organizers had not received permission from the police headquarters for the rally scheduled for October 4 to 7. I received yesterday a comment on this blog, the following information and I thank reader: "While the authorities are closing streets to traffic in some neighborhoods on Friday, so that Muslims can pray, know that the authorities of the city of Paris recently denied permission to read the Bible in public on the Place de la Bastille. As was done for several years, once a year, under the title of "Marathon of the Bible." Still an affront to freedom of expression [and especially religious freedom. DH]. Mind the biblical message as it stirs the conscience". Today, the evangelical Protestants are denied a permit. Tomorrow, -- can Catholics procession in the streets of Paris for the Corpus Christi or the Assumption?

I do not know, but it seems to me clear that the state has finally chosen Islam as the state religion and completely reject Christianity in the country. Mayors posed the first stone mosques, has never seen a Mayor laid the foundation stone of a church ... to my knowledge.[more at source]It is interesting to note that the Republic which is built on the historic Protestant Freemasonry Anglican and Lutheran in its décatholisation-secularization of France under the Third Republic, in particular, now attack players of the Bible ( who were so politically correct in the past)!
Definitely marked change.
What is surprising is that the other place was not allowed even though it is an eccentrical public garden ... It must be possible to make requests without [fear of] arrest and undeterred, with a reasoned response given in case of refusal.French authorities the right and left have decided to be biased, they chose Islam against Christianity. No wonder a closer look, they are often converted to Islam and one spouse (e) Muslim (e). They are traitors to our culture, it is high time that we change this political class syphilitic.
What is instructive is to see the very long-term strategy and slogans successive secularist Republicans [in the French sense], who are simply enemies of Christ. In 1789, they destroyed the Christian society and the divine right of kings but touting the nation and the homeland. Since then the nation is hated, and Homeland diluted for pleasure and profit ... Also (as was clearly demonstrated FG Dreyfus) the Third Republic (J. Ferry F. Buisson) relied on liberal Protestantism which it flattered to counter Catholicism. And now it is the turn of the Protestants become a target ...
For your pinging consideration.
Europe has become a mission field.
As have we.
Where are the descendants of Charles the Hammer???
In the graves at Verdun?
Mission field is when you are allowed to evangelize. When you are not, it is a battlefield.
And now it is the turn of the Protestants become a target ...

Four days straight? That's long enough to read it straight through. That would be interesting.
That is a good question: when did France become the land of arrogant cheese eaters?
The last poster on the blog that I cite relates the catastrophe to the French revolution: "In 1789, they destroyed the Christian society and the divine right of kings". I think I can agree.
Well one of them is reading FR.
;-)
perhaps had they stuck with the truth (Catholicism) they wouldn't be having these difficulties!!
Yes. However, the damage done by the French Revolution was nothing short of a national suicide; it is not fair to tell the French what they should have done as if they were a single country with a single mind in 19 century.
