>> but can you give me Scripture supporting a Christian voting for the Mormon bishop Romney? <<

I confess that I cannot. Shockingly, I also cannot find Scripture supporting the eating of Doritos for a snack food, because Doritos, like Mormons, didn't exist 2000 years ago when scripture was written. Yet I have no problem eating Doritos or voting for Mormons, despite not having explicit permission in the bible to do either. Imagine that.

I can’t give you scripture for voting, period.

It’s a right we treasure, but not one ordained of God. That’s not to say He opposes our participation in government, for I truly believe he blessed our nation with freedom. I intend to vote, but I intend to pray harder.

My vote will go to Romney, because Obama is demonstrably evil and also adheres to a twisted religion.

We are electing a President, not a spiritual leader.

Please read the Old Testament history of God’s relationship with the Israelites, particularly Judges and the books of the Kings.

The leaders and the outside forces that He chooses are sometimes used to discipline an errant and unfaithful society.

I'm voting for the real Christian in this election.

Check him out!

Accept no substitutes!

I did not say that you have only two choices.

I said you have only two VIABLE choices.

Sadly, you can waste your vote on a fringe candidate if you choose.

As far as religions go: I never heard of a Mormon killing anyone in the name of the Mormon religion. I can’t conceive an honor killing in the Osmond family. Yet the president bends over backwards for Muslims.

He didn’t say you had to be of the same religion or belief just be able to recognize a tyrant. If you can’t recognize a tyrant I doubt you can recognize a Christian or anything else.

“The truth is … man is a child of God— a God in embryo.” – Mitt Romney's father's cousin, Marion G. Romney – one of the top three Lds hierarchists a generation ago...in Conference Report, April 1973, p. 136; or Ensign, July 1973, p. 14.

Resistance to competing rivals to God as pretense gods is obedience to THE LONE TRUE God. (Colofornian, Aug. 5, 2012)

I didn't say the person we vote for had to be of the same religion (I might vote for a believing Jew as long as he was counterculture to many of the liberal Jews of today -- and was akin to somebody like Dennis Prager...I believe at least Dennis Prager probably worships the same God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob as I do)

I didn't say the person we vote for had to adhere to my personal belief alignment checklist.

YOU (plural YOU) just need to be able to recognize a candidate who pretends to be divine. (That's good for beginning discernment)

IF YOU CAN'T RECOGNIZE AN IDOLATRY-LADEN CANDIDATE WHEN HE POPS UP RIGHT IN YOUR FACE I DOUBT YOU CAN RECOGNIZE ANY IDOL IN ANY CULTURE! NOT EVEN THE POTENTIAL IDOLS YOU (plural you) MIGHT EMBRACE AS SUBSTITUTES FOR GOD IN YOUR LIFE.

I don't disagree with that idea but it doesn't mean that God endorses the leaders or their actions. God also punishes nations by giving them bad leaders - hence my tagline.

I've read the Bible many times over and am well aware of the History of how God uses various forces to both punish and lead his people back into his favour.

I am also aware that Romney, with his continual lying, his support for the Gay Agenda, and everything else Progressive Liberal in his record fits the bill, however, I am still bound by God's commands to NOT support someone who purposefully chooses evil over good.

I said you have only two VIABLE choices.

I don't see you going 'round to residents on the Left Coast (Hawaii, CA, OR, WA) or New England (Maine, Vermont, MA, CT, RI) or the DC area (Maryland, Delaware) or the NY-NJ area -- or Obama's home state (IL) -- and telling them that "you have only one VIABLE choice." (Why not?)

Do you have some grand illusion that Romney could take ANY of those states???

Sadly, you can waste your vote on a fringe candidate if you choose.

For all intents & purposes, Romney is a "fringe candidate" in the above states. Yet I don't see you advising voters in THOSE states to remain true to their conservative principles. (Why not?) If your utilitarian pragmatic political relativism kicks into high gear re: "ABO" -- why not "ABOAR" in those liberal blue states??? (ABOAR=Anybody But Obama AND Romney)

(They don't give "silver medals" in electoral POTUS races.)

The mind is boggled by people who know nothing of Mormonism yet calls anyone who exposes it’s anti Christian foundation and teachings bigots.
Mormonism is at its core anti Christian

Father Melvin Doucette is a holy priest, a contemplative
for a long time.

A message from Our Lord given to Father Melvin ~

July 18, 2012

(Below you will find the message of Our Lord and Redeemer Savior given to Father Melvin. Jesus spoke to him these words.)

“I call you all to be loyal to Me especially you My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters living in every part of the world. When I was on earth I was loyal to My Heavenly Father every day of My life on earth. I came to do His will. You too should have the same reason wanting to follow My will every day.

There are some people these days that are teaching falsehood but saying that it comes from Me. Only My church can teach the true Gospel, which I brought into the world. There will only be the one Gospel and this is what you are to follow with all your heart. St. Paul in his earlier days was a persecutor of My Church. He wanted to destroy the Church I had founded on the Apostles. At the end I woke him up and he was converted. He came to believe in Me and he followed the true Gospel all the years after that until his death as a martyr in Rome. Do not listen to such people as those who belong to New Age or the CHURCH OF THE LATTER DAY SAINTS. THERE IS NO TRUTH IN WHAT THEY TEACH. Follow Me in My Church and you will be blessed. I am your Brother who is calling you and who is ready to help you in this life and bring you home to heaven one day.”

Good thing the "Christian" Woodrow Wilson (a socialist) beat that Unitarian cultist William Howard Taft (a conservative)!

A solid reason to oppose Unitarians was...
... (a) the Christian social ethics of righteousness and justice just didn't carry far into their soul. For example, with Unitarian Millard Fillmore, his "support of the Fugitive Slave Act caused the Whig Party to split in two and caused the downfall of his national political career."
Source: Millard Fillmore - Thirteenth President of the United States Keep in mind that compromiser British Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain was also raised Unitarian.
...(b) Not only did Fillmore head the "Know-Nothing Party," but your "poster boy" Taft -- your supposed "conservative" -- as President made the (R) party temporarily into a "Do Nothing Party"...lacking moral force or suasion:
Note this critique even from a Unitarian Universalist source: "The Christian Register, a publication that held Taft in high regard, later commented on his presidency: 'Mr. Taft is not referred to as one of the great Presidents. Two reasons may be assigned: his election depended too much on the will of his predecessor, President Roosevelt; he was temperamentally and mentally unfitted to fulfill the functions of Chief Executive of the nation. He did not enjoy the office, and could not summon the tremendous energy necessary to push through legislation in the face of powerful opposition. He made himself beloved by the people on account of his readiness to smile through difficulties; but that method did not work with Congress, and things simply did not get done." The election of 1912 was a political disaster for the Republicans. Woodrow Wilson easily defeated both Taft and his former supporter Roosevelt (now running for the Bull Moose Party). (So even Roosevelt, who had "anointed" Taft earlier -- had turned against him in 1912).
Source of above quote: William Howard Taft

ALL: This is what happens when FREEPERs get behind either RINOs or do-nothing candidates like Taft.

They wind up engaging in revisionist history -- or in reinventing a candidate in whatever pretzel image they want...like BillyBoy has in casting Taft as a "conservative" worth getting behind.

“He changes times and seasons; he sets up kings and deposes them. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the discerning.” Daniel 2:21

“Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God.” Romans 13:1

“Praise be to the LORD your God, who has delighted in you and placed you on his throne as king to rule for the LORD your God. Because of the love of your God for Israel and his desire to uphold them forever, he has made you king over them, to maintain justice and righteousness.” II Chronicles 9:8 (re: King Solomon)
