Mitt Romney's Beliefs Demand Consideration
International Business Times ^ | Feb. 6, 2012 | Walt Osterman

Americans, from sea to shining sea, are hurting and confused.

We are told, daily, that everything is getting better. America's best days are still in her future.

The overwhelming evidence (continually declining home prices, escalating unemployment figures, massive cuts in defense as our enemies strengthen, etc.) point in the opposite direction. What are we to believe?

Several politicians, who are all fine speakers, are running for the presidency. I fear that, metaphorically, our nation has hit a massive iceberg and has an irreparable rip from bow to stern. Like the RMS Titanic, we're going down. We don't need excellent orators; we need someone with real answers.

During President Barack Obama's run for our nation's highest public office, he repeatedly chided President George W. Bush for being less than totally forthcoming. Candidate Obama promised "the most open presidency in the history of the country." Is that what we have?

Well, there are still questions about his place of birth. We have very little information about any schools he attended and absolutely no grades are available.

Obama allegedly attended Columbia College and received a degree in political science in 1983. His name is listed in the graduation record, but there is no photograph in the school's yearbook. Not one of his supposedly fellow students recalls having attended any classes with him. The class president has no recollection of ever meeting Barack.

Our president is happily socializing our nation and dismantling our military. Does he even have the right to occupy the office? Maybe we should know our candidates better than we do. Most Americans don't seem to care, but Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney's "Christianity" has been questioned.

Joel Osteen says Romney is a Christian. Many others heartily agree, but what are the facts? Romney is a Mormon. His church believes that Elohim, the god of this planet, was once a man on the planet Kolob. That belief is found nowhere in historic Christian thought.

Jesus is a sexually created "spirit child" of heavenly Father, not an eternal, coequal Person in the Triune Godhead. Latter-day Saints teachings also promise faithful Mormons a planet of their own, in their afterlives, which they will populate through repeated relations with their "goddess wife," as does Elohim. Again, both of those religious concepts are not found in any historical Christian discourse.

Mormons also believe Native Americans have Jewish roots, yet irrefutable DNA evidence places their ancestries in eastern Asia. Still again, this belief is absent from the historic record until Joseph Smith's translation of some golden plates in the nineteenth century.

The one word that Biblically typifies "the last days" is deception. Deception is defined as misrepresenting facts and manipulation, distortion, or falsification of evidence. Silencing troublesome facts, when they are important and relevant, is a deception of the highest order. American media have chosen to ignore questions of Mormonism being Christian.

Most Americans have other concerns, but for anyone who is genuinely interested in Mitt Romney's "Christianity," these Mormon beliefs demand consideration. The last thing our country needs is another "Manchurian Candidate" president.

Osterman doesn't mean the MSM has failed to notify the public that Romney's a Mormon; rather, what Mormonism is; beliefs, worldviews...the MSM has been saving most of that up til Romney perchance wins the nomination.

I can "see" it now..."President" Romney has another 9/11 crisis on his hands...and so he turns to lead the nation in prayer for victims...and prays to a god who started out as a man...who before that was a spirit no more eternal than you or me...And he tells us to pray to this god who isn't the ultimate god...just a man who got the god-job like Mitt wants the POTUS-job.

From the article: Mormons also believe Native Americans have Jewish roots, yet irrefutable DNA evidence places their ancestries in eastern Asia. Still again, this belief is absent from the historic record until Joseph Smith's translation of some golden plates in the nineteenth century.

So...the Book of Mormon STILL carries racist passages vs. Native Americans...there COMPLETELY goes the Native American vote.

* Mormons' macabre Jewish baptisms won't benefit Mitt [Well, there COMPLETELY goes the Jewish vote]

* Robyn Blumner: Romney's 'Mormon question' should have more to do with LDS church's past racism [Well, even though Obama's been losing black support in polls, there's COMPLETELY goes the Black votes]

* Romney's wealth and firing Bain-controlled common workers...there COMPLETELY goes the poor vote.

* Evangelicals?...74-78% won't vote for Romney.

* Pro-life Catholics -- upon finding out that Mitt is responsible for $50 MA abortions & Planned Parenthood getting a permanent seat on RomneyCARE supposedly after he "became pro-life"? (Or upon finding out that Romney advocated parents either give up their embryos for adoption OR research -- in Dec 2007 -- a full year after he'd been out on the campaign trail telling all he was "pro-life")...

* And a good chunk of Independents won't vote for a Mormon, either...especially those who are more liberal on social issues...somehow thinking Mitt is tied to Prop 8 when his track record on homosexuality is the opposite...

* Liberals fed up with Obama? Nope. Romney and the "Book of Mormon" broadway version they've seen & heard about won't inspire them to vote for him.

Of course Romney’s beliefs should be considered.
His liberalism, his mormonSIM as well....these beliefs are his core, it is who he is.

The DNC can barely contain their enthusiasm for Romney. Here's a look at their new bumper sticker. Available September 1, 2012.

It's about time someone started telling people what Mormons really believe. They know there beliefs are so out there they deceptively call themselves Christian. They are not. To be of the same faith, you have to believe in the same god. They consider themselves a god. Apparently they did not hear about humbling yourself before God.

Joel Olsteen is a heretic. He apparently has a big Mormon following. He fears not making money more than God. He preaches the name it and claim it. If God gives you everything you ask when you have enough faith, why was all of his followers imprisoned and or martyred? Why do good Christians suffer? He acts like we are living in heaven today. I hope he wakes up to his false teachings.

Number of faithful Mormons rapidly declining

SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 News) - The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is losing a record number of its membership. A new report quotes an LDS general authority who said more members are falling away today than any time in the past 175 years.

At meetings like General Conference, Utahns may be used to seeing members of the LDS Church show up in record numbers. But according to a recent Reuters article citing LDS General Authority Marlin K. Jensen, for the church as a whole, the record in going in a different direction.

Elder Jensen told the news outlet times have changed, and “attrition has accelerated in the last five or 10 years.” Some church members ABC 4 talked to said they see the faithful leaving.

“I’m from Chile and a lot of people just stop attending, they take it a little bit too casual,” said Francisco Jerez, LDS Church member.

So how bad is it getting? Right now there are more than 14 million members of the church worldwide. But according to the article, sociologists estimate active membership may as few as only five million.

Elder Jensen told Reuters that’s the biggest departure since before the days of Brigham Young.

“If people are leaving it’s really a mark that maybe we need to get deeper into our faith,” said Ross Booth, LDS Church member.

“When life is going good and we don’t have as many challenges we don’t turn to God,” said Babbi Hill, LDS Church member.

These members said it doesn’t worry them about the church.

“I know the church is going to continue to grow and develop,” said Booth.

But it is a wake up call to be their brother’s keeper.

“It does come down to us as members of the church to do our part,” said Jerez.

And LDS leaders are hoping they bring their friends back.

The LDS church declined to comment on the article. But Elder Jensen told Reuters, the church is attempting to reach out to the less-active church members, update its manuals on sensitive church doctrines, and improve the amount of accurate information about the church on the internet.

Nor in MORMONism.

If You Could Hie to Kolob
 #284 – William W. Phelps

1. If you could hie to Kolob In the twinkling of an eye,
    And then continue onward With that same speed to fly,
    Do you think that you could ever, Through all eternity,
    Find out the generation Where Gods began to be?

2. Or see the grand beginning, Where space did not extend?
    Or view the last creation, Where Gods and matter end?
    Me thinks the Spirit whispers, “No man has found ‘pure space,’
    Nor seen the outside curtains, Where nothing has a place.”

3. The works of God continue, And worlds and lives abound;
    Improvement and progression Have one eternal round.
    There is no end to matter; There is no end to space;
    There is no end to spirit; There is no end to race.

4. There is no end to virtue; There is no end to might;
    There is no end to wisdom; There is no end to light.
    There is no end to union; There is no end to youth;
    There is no end to priesthood; There is no end to truth.

5. There is no end to glory; There is no end to love;
    There is no end to being; There is no death above.
    There is no end to glory; There is no end to love;
    There is no end to being; There is no death above.

I meant someone in the media should write articles on Mormon beliefs. . I sent an email to David Limbaugh asking him to tell the public how they are not Christian, like they keep claiming. How there religion has some very bizarre beliefs, and if we don't tell people, Obama will.

Glenn Beck converted from Catholicism to MORMONism.

One would think that HE would tell!
