32. And Esau said, “Look, I am about to die; so what is this birthright to me?”
33. Then Jacob said, “Swear to me as of this day.” So he swore to him, and sold his birthright to Jacob. 34. And Jacob gave Esau bread and stew of lentils; then he ate and drank, arose, and went his way. Thus Esau despised his birthright.”

So do we have both a blessing,a prophesy, or a curse? Seems like a honest, if rather shortsighted and rather dumb agreement to make and a good deal for Jacob! So when Jacob actually took the birthright it was preceded by this prior agreement, yet Esau was very angry. Convoluted.

O Lord, man continues to make poor decisions and yield to our lusts, help us do right, keep our eyes on thee and thy Word. Please forgive our sins, we thank thee for thy mercy, righteousness, holiness, forgiveness, goodness, and loving kindness. Thank thee Lord. we pray for the peace of Israel, Jerusalem, for the persecuted believers, and for the peace of America. We praise thee, worship and adore and pray to becoming like unto thy likeness, in Jesus name amen. and
