Jesus, Mary and ... Josephine? It's lesbian Nativity at church

The Bible's account of the night Jesus was born is noted for some well-known characters at the Bethlehem manger, including the baby Jesus, Mary, Joseph and some shepherds following the instructions of an angel.
The famous wise men were not present, as they showed up later when Jesus was a young child in a house.
And as far as the New Testament indicates, there weren't any lesbians there either.
Now a Christian church in America's heartland is helping redefine the story, as its most-recent living Nativity scene in December featured two women instead of a man and a women starring as Joseph and Mary.
"It's not very groundbreaking at all to use the youngest baby in the congregation to play the role of Jesus. The parents just happened to be two women," said Rev. Linda Butler, pastor of St. Timothy's United Methodist Church in Cedar Falls, Iowa. "They were playing the role of the Holy Family, not necessarily Mary and Joseph. We never referred to the moms as Mary and Joseph. We referred to them as the Holy Family."

Why does one of the greatest stories ever told need to be redefined?

The Wise Men got there on Little Christmas aka Twelfth Night and took a different route home because Herod wanted them to tell him where the Messiah was born. BTW, the “Holy Family” is Jesus, Mary and Joseph. This “family” is BS.

Mocking God and His critically important, foundational, heterosexual nuclear family.
Great idea.

They had Turkey basters back then? I didn't think so. I you don't like Christianity taught the way it's been for 2000 years, there is a simple solution. Start your own religion. Stop with the constant, it's not fair that I can't do what I want and not get approval from the Church. Sheesh enough already. You want to be an atheist or a pagan? Go right ahead, it's not against the law to believe what you want to believe. Just stop telling everyone else what to do or you'll have a hissy fit. Most don't care about what you do as long as you keep it private.

Just when I thought nothing could faze me, I read this. It's absurd in it's twisted rationale and mocks the true story of Jesus Christ, including his mother and father. By claiming that because Joseph wasn't Jesus biological father, he is irrelevant, is simply sophistry. Using the 'Holy Family' label to skirt the fact that Jesus had both a corporeal, earthly father (who raised him with his wife, Mary) as well as a heavenly father fools no one, except those who want to be fooled into not noticing that this whole thing is a none-too-clever attempt to infer that two women are a 'family' and using something as sacred as the birth of the Savior of the world as a vehicle for that fallacy. No good will come of this. God is not mocked.
I left the United Methodist church 24 years ago (for an evangelical Christian church) just as this kind of shift to embracing the values of the secular world at the expense of abandoning Biblical truth began to infiltrate church theology. Now, its come to this, thus validating my decision.

Isnt there a special place in hell for servants of Christ that lead Christians astray? For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ. And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works. (2Corinthians 11:13-15)

It’s being redefined to make it acceptable to our modern world view.
We shall find out that God was rather merciful to Sodom and Ghomorah compared to what will be in store for this world.
