A Call for Prayer

On Ash Wednesday I learned that a former employee sent a three-page letter to several bishops accusing me of everything from drug addiction to multiple sexual exploits with her and several other adult women. There seems to no longer be the need for a complaint to be deemed “credible” in order for Church authorities to pull the trigger on the Church’s procedure, which was in recent years crafted to respond to cases of the sexual abuse of minors. I am not accused of that, but it seems, once again, that they now don’t have to deem the complaint to be credible or not, and it is being applied broadly to respond to all complaints. I have been placed on "administrative leave" as the result of this.

I’ll certainly cooperate with the process, but personally believe that it is seriously flawed, and is tantamount to treating the priest as guilty “just in case”, then through the process determining if he is innocent. The resultant damage to the accused is immediate, irreparable, and serious, especially for someone like myself, since I am so well known. I am not alone in this assessment, as multiple canon lawyers and civil and criminal attorneys have stated publicly that the procedure does grave damage to the accused from the outset, regardless of rhetoric denying this, and has little regard for any form of meaningful due process.

All of the allegations in the complaint are false, and I ask you to pray for all concerned.

Jesus. High Priest

We thank you, God our Father, for those who have responded to your call to priestly ministry.

Accept this prayer we offer on their behalf: Fill your priests with the sure knowledge of your love.

Open their hearts to the power and consolation of the Holy Spirit.

Lead them to new depths of union with your Son.

Increase in them profound faith in the Sacraments they celebrate as they nourish, strengthen and heal us.

Lord Jesus Christ, grant that these, your priests, may inspire us to strive for holiness by the power of their example, as men of prayer who ponder your word and follow your will.

O Mary, Mother of Christ and our mother, guard with your maternal care these chosen ones, so dear to the Heart of your Son.

Intercede for our priests, that offering the Sacrifice of your Son, they may be conformed more each day to the image of your Son, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.

Saint John Vianney, universal patron of priests, pray for us and our priests

This icon shows Jesus Christ, our eternal high priest.

The gold pelican over His heart represents self-sacrifice.

The border contains an altar and grapevines, representing the Mass, and icons of Melchizedek and St. Jean-Baptiste Vianney.

Melchizedek: king of righteousness (left icon) was priest and king of Jerusalem.  He blessed Abraham and has been considered an ideal priest-king.

St. Jean-Baptiste Vianney is the patron saint of parish priests.

A priest in my area was accused of sex abuse by a young man. I found it had to believe because this priest was not the friendly type and he even struck terror in the hearts of adults. The priest was so sick from this accusation that he died of a stomach ailment. After he died, the young man recanted and said that his lawyer put him up to it to get a settlement from the New York Archdiocese. I will pray for Fr. Corapi.

Someone accused him of something, so he must be guilty.

Yeah I bet Fr. Corapi is guilty!\s

Prayers going up for his defense and Psalm 37:

It looks like that apostates in the church can’t stand the truth and want to quash the messenger.

“exploits with her and several other adult women.”

I don’t buy it.

One of the greatest priests I have ever learned from. To attend one of his lectures is really an event. Even Protestants on FR would appreciate his message and style.

My prayers are with you, father Corapi and your accusers.

This exact thing happened to my (former) pastor. A very unstable woman accused him of all kinds of things. He was immediately removed from his office and "retired". It turned out the charges were proven false - three years later.

The bishops' administration of the child abuse scandal was so poor (beyond poor - scandalous is all I think of how to describe it) that they don't want to be seen as "soft" on sexual predators, so now priests are considered "guilty until proven innocent."

I don't believe this accusation against Fr. Corapi AT ALL. However, even if it were true, treating the case the same as a (homosexual) abuse of a minor is absurd.

But the bishops feel they have to do this for cover, instead of relying on credible evidence.

Satan is hungery and he is going after the Lord’s servants.

Lord, confuse and scatter the enemies of Thy Church and bring their designs to utter ruin.

Give strength to Thy priests and lead Thy Church to victory.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost, in the company of saints in Heaven we pray, amen.

Satan is hungery and he is going after the Lord’s servants.

My first thought as well. Anyone who has ever watched and heard him speak will recall this message ...

"Satan's tactic is to strike the shepherd and scatter the sheep."

Let's hold him in our daily prayers.

In any event, the false accusers outnumber the accused, falsely or otherwise, and that is the conveniently ignored moral scandal in this country!

He lived a crazy sinful life before as some one who worked as for all the Hollywood secret satanic cult types(He unintentionally noticed) if you watch or read his work. He admits his wrong from the past. He then hit rock bottom found God. I can not see this being true at all.

He is now such a great light for Christ. The enemy is at work here. I will pray for him and all sherpherds of Christ. The enemy is out and about. Lord deliver us from this evil.

‘Satan is hungery and he is going after the Lord’s servants’

you are right. It is indeed time for prayer.

For Fr Corapi...
St. Michael, the Archangel, defend us in battle
Be our protection against the wickedness
and snares of the devil;
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray,
and do thou, O Prince of the heavenly host,
by the power of God,
Cast into hell Satan and all evil spirits
who prowl through the world seeking the ruin of souls.
Amen
