After the Black Rascal and Bear Creek homeless encampments were closed in October, some of the homeless were offered a place to live at the Sierra Presbyterian Church. But since then, neighbors living near the church on M Street have complained about the encampments being so close to their homes. Some have repeatedly asked the Merced City Council for help. Now they may get their wish.

The homeless who have been living at the Presbyterian Church in North Merced have been asked to find new living arrangements. The church has given them until Sunday to leave.

The eight or nine homeless people living in tents on the church property have been asked to vacate the church grounds within three days. The request came from the session, or group of elders, of the Sierra Presbyterian Church.

Typical Main-stream-media making up stories. The headline they've made is as if the Church kicked them out. Only when you read the article do you realise that the neighbors didn't like homeless messing up their views, so complained.

How low can the media sink in their attacks on Christians?

Leftists in general, and the media in particular, have no limits.

Anti-Protestantism: the last acceptable prejudice among Catholics.

Bad headline. The neighbors complained and the church is being forced to comply. So because the church is the one that has to “ask” the homeless to leave, they’re the “bad guys”.

Sounds like the church needs to do a better job educating the local residents if anything. The church isn’t violating any rules, yet being painted as the bad guys in the headline.

It isn’t until you read midway through the article that the “truth” begins to appear.

LOCAL RESIDENTS COMPLAIN ABOUT HOMELESS ON CHURCH PROPERTY - FORCE EVICTION would be a more accurate headline.

I don’t blame the church at all — the newspaper guys want to portray Christians as evil, so they will manipulate headlines to prove that

ah, trust you to say that. This is the media attacking and of course, some folks seem to want to abate this, instead of having Christians unite. I think CHristians should unite against this MSM slandering.
