 Nine Major Approved Apparitions
These are the nine major approved Marian apparitions of modern times, based on their acceptance by the Church and the importance they have assumed over time. What are they?
| Apparitions of Mary are an event in which the Blessed Mother Mary is believed to have supernaturally appeared to one or more persons. Our focus here will be Catholic Church Approved Marian Apparitions. In the majority of Marian apparitions only a few people report having witnessed the apparition. They are often given names based on the town in which they were reported. Much information and explanations have been written about these occurrences. Bob and Penny Lord have written two books about Apparitions of Mary. To put it simple terms, Our Lady has shown her love for us has been through her visits to our planet, in the form of Apparitions. Every one of of Mother Mary's apparitions was for a specific purpose, not for an individual, but for a nation, and sometimes the world.
Mother Mary has given us prophecies of things which have come about, as well as warnings about things that may happen in the future. Mother Mary tells us that through prayer and the Rosary, the tide can turn on calamity. Justice and Peace can triumph. All of Her messages come down to that one command She gave us in Holy Scripture, "Do whatever He tells you!" |

Last year the predictions were dead on. Haiti,Chile and the earth axis change predicted weeks or month before it happened. He is name cities or nations all the time. This last few are about the middle east. Check this out:

Speaking of predictions that were spot-on ...
That’s not the key point, of course. St. Catherine Laboure made a number of predictions, of which some turned out correct, and some totally wrong. About the latter, she just said, “Yes, I was wrong.”
“Catholic Caucus.”
Remember sometimes in history like Jonah with Nineveh warning which was destruction from the Lord. The city repented and the Lord did not destroy. I think of these old testament stories when the apparitions occur. I do not know about this St Catherine Laboure though. I have not read much. But a prophet that predicts and it does not happen is not a prophet as the bible defines. Also I guess an exeception to the rule because of God’s compassion.

I agree. However, I don't think a visionary and a prophet are necessarily the same thing. Some visionaries have seen future events, such as the Paris Commune uprising (St. Catherine) or the massacres in Rwanda (Our Lady of Kibeho), while others have not.
I think a person can be in error simply because people make errors in reporting what they have heard or seen. We understand this when we're dealing with natural events, but recall of supernatural events is also subject to our basic nature.
Uh, the news there isn’t terribly encouraging.
I went and read her words at your link. I thought this was very telling:
“The contempt for the sacred will grow more each day. People will reject what belongs to God, and embrace false doctrines and false ideologies. The devil will cause great confusion in the Church. You will yet see horrors. Many will lose the faith and go away from true doctrines.”
It makes you think.
