They’re outrageous heretics who believe that God the Father has 2 sons, Jesus and Lucifer! Pray for them but don’t let them in your house.

You are confusing the JWs with the Mormons. It's the Mormons who field those two-guy teams in white shirts and black ties, and are permitted to lie about their faith.

The JWs are derived from the ancient Arian heresy, which presented Jesus as a creature, rather than as "true God of true God," the 2nd Person of the Blessed Trinity.

My favorite Santa Claus story happened at the Council of Nicea. Nicholas, bishop of Myra, met Arius in the hall -- and promptly beat him up. A true shepherd loves his sheep and hates the wolves.

As a Christian, I cannot even sit down and talk with them, because they deny that Jesus is the Son of God. What do we have in common if they deny that most fundamental belief?

I’ve known several JW and they’ve all been nice people. JW is a cult and all members need our prayers and to learn the truth about God’s Son.

Who peed in your Wheaties? Whatever their religion prefences and beliefs are, don’t concern me, but I don’t trust people who don’t salute our flag, serve in our military, or let kids celebrate birthdays and holidays. Also, my wife said their church buildings creep her out because they don’t have windows.

Jesus was probably born in Summer, because that is when people traveled to pay their taxes

Jesus didn't celebrate Christmas because the Winter Solstice, Dec. 25 was the SUN GOD Mithra's birthday.

Please tell me that you forgot the sarcasm tag.

Please....

Eastern Washington is full of houses where JW kids stay since their parents kicked them out because they were booted from the church. Sad.

Now, having said what I said, I agree with you. I went to high school with a JW, and yes, he’s a nice guy. What I meant is that I can’t talk religion or politics with them.

The office I used to work at was full of Obama people. The Jehovah’s Witness in the office and I gravitated towards each other, because we were both uncomfortable by all the political talk at work. Ended up being friends and she never tried to convert me. Just a good hearted person. She always told me that my kids were so spoiled (good naturedly) and wished that we would adopt her. She even called my husband her uncle. lol She was and still is a sweetheart.

People who knock on doors for no apparent reason.....

Cult that controls it’s members by shunning - even your own child is to be shunned if they don’t follow to the letter. Their hierarchy is similar to the Mormon church in that the leadership is usually the richest locals who take charge, rather than someone trained in theology.

No I’m not. JW go door to door as well trying to pass out copies of the publicqation, ‘The WatchTower”. They’re actually an offshoot from the silly Millerite hysteria of the 19th century the same cult that gave birth to the 7th Day Adventists.

They’re outrageous heretics who believe..

Is that your opening line before you "witness" to them?

They didn’t get drafted. At least in the 60s. Didn’t attend Christmas functions. Fly the Flag.
They believe that only 240 (?) people will get to Heaven. Harmless as far as I know.

Jesus didn't celebrate Christmas

Why would Jesus "celebrate" the Incarnation? He was the Incarnation.

because the Winter Solstice, Dec. 25 was the SUN GOD Mithra's birthday.

(1) The winter solstice is not on December 25.

(2) Worshippers of Mithra did not celebrate his birthday.

(3) The feast that worshippers of Mithra celebrated was his return to the land, which they celebrated at the spring equinox, not the winter solstice.

Roman church under Constantine made it Jesus birthday.

Constantine had no knowledge of a separate celebration of the Nativity. Its celebration predated his reign and was known among North African Christians before he was born. However it did not become a common Christian celebration until well after he died.

It became widely celebrated as a refutation of the Arian heresy, which claimed that Jesus was just a creature.

It is definitely a pagan holy day. Still is.

It never was a pagan holy day. Still isn't.

You need to do better research.
