His point is not only factually incorrect, but it is a recitation of LDS doctrine that specifically is designed and used to trash the Bible and make it unreliable (as well as promote the idea of a ‘universal apostasy’) so therefore there is a ‘need’ for the Book of Mormon and Mormonism.
IOW, it is spreading Mormon propaganda.
