Featured Term (selected at random):

SPIRITUAL ESPOUSALS

Mystical union of love between God and some chosen souls raised to the highest degree of contemplation. God reveals his greatness to these persons, adorns them with special graces, and unites himself to them as a pledge of spiritual marriage. The espousal is totally spiritual, by which the human soul is united to the Holy Spirit.
