..well maybe if people stopped making this the line in the sand of faith, and consider that God may have put evolution in place as His 'how', things would change.
Ahhh, I really don't think this is the answer at all. In fact, I think it's a recipe for disaster. If you want to promote Christianity, do it on the basis Jesus did - love, compassion, help for those in need, outreach, and creating a movement that people want to be a part of. Something that gives them hope and purpose and demonstrates the transformative power of God's grace.
I do not wish to disparage the affects of Darwinism on society, but the primary reasons that the youth are leaving Christianity are (1) the poor example of parents. (2) the heretical teachings of liberal Christian denominations. (3) the lack of knowledge about doctrine.
Good article. I am reading Ken Ham’s book, “Already Gone”, and so far the premise is the same.
Faith comes from hearing. And hearing from the Word. Who’s preaching the Word anymore? No one.
The kids go away for a while then come back 95% of the time. There is no real problem!
And evolutionists don’t realize that evolution is based on multiple logical fallacies.
“Thinking themselves wise, they became fools.”
The shepherds have been learning the intricacies of ancient Greek and comparative religion while their flocks are left to wonder what the Bible teaches about maintaining a good marriage, or why sexual immorality is immoral and how to deal with offenders, or the unity of the flock.
So I lay much, no, most of the blame on the Reverends, Right Reverends, Fathers, Pastors, Evangelists for not only losing the younger generation but failing to equip the older generation as Jesus instructed.
I disagree! Evolution may be the reason given by the young people but it isn't the **real** reason.
Children leave their faith because government schools teach children a godless worldview. They teach child to compartmentalize their faith. These schools teach children ( every minute they are there) how to live life without God!
Evolution is merely a tiny part of the problem.
If we want to save our nation and our children we must teach them within the context of their faith.
Young people want a demonstration of the power of The LORD. We Christians need to know how to be used by The LORD God Almighty as vessels of His mighty power. When the power of The LORD is revealed it will put to rest all opposition to truth for those who are willing to believe. Let’s pray that The LORD reveals His mighty power!
Who needs God when Government provides all one’s needs? Unfortunately for the ‘government is god’ folks, they’ll find out the hard way that they’ve made a devil’s bargain.
The story of Adam and Eve is referred to as the “central myth of Christianity”.
Excuse me but wouldn’t the life and teachings of Jesus Christ be the center of a religion named after him? Duh.

“I am an evangelist. I go around and talk with people. One-on-one conversations. My time on college campuses and talking to high schoolers, the number one answer that I get for there not being a God, so then I dont have to believe in [God/the gospel], is evolution.”
Believing in the God of the Bible brings responsibility with it and that's not an easy thing to accept, while believing that we are the products of evolution doesn't require any particular actions toward our Creator, much easier a road to follow.
