This would be time enough for all the silly little prancing, dancing and entrancing that now appears in the Church of Rome...

More delightful mockery. Not only do you mock Christ's Church--the Catholic Church--but also this "Church of Rome," whatever that is.

If you want to talk to me....I'm right here!

A man stands healed before them in the name of Jesus of Nazereth, and they quibble about whether it is legal to heal on the Sabbath...

I don't believe Our Lord had a problem whatsoever.....healing on the Sabbath. Neither do I! I believe that was part of the Dogma (Pharisaical) that was nailed to the cross [Colossians 2:14]

If that was your insinuation.....you now know my position.

The furthest thing from what I was dong was mocking Christ's true Church.

I do not know your intent, but I do know your result, and mocking Christ's true Church is exactly your result.

Paul himself is seen keeping the Passover...

It is the New Passover: Holy Eucharist, as instituted by Christ on Holy Thursday, the night before He died.

...the last thrust of a failed argument.

Precisely, and sadly so.

You seem to be a very modest individual. Yet, you are light years ahead of some of the folks on this thread.

My advice.....keep on keeping on. You should post more often and maybe we could all learn something from you.

Anything that questions any dearly held belief of Petronski is "anti-Catholic."

Double the cowardice, quadruple points.

Really? Have you studied the Greek manuscripts and compared it to Philo? I have. I have read several scholarly works (pro and con) on the passage.

All that work and you still got it wrong. Poor thing.

So, is Achma-wack-job of Iran anti-Semitic? Does my wondering if his verbal attacks come from such a dogma require silence on my part because of the mighty Lee N. Field's maxim of failed arguments?

That there are real antisemites in the world in no way invalidates my observation.

Not at all. It is obvious your commitment to yourself is not going to be shaken by anything written here.

You do, however, serve as a very good object lesson for other readers.

I was speaking of the pagan festival to the goddess Ishtar.

And I was speaking of the Christian festival of the Resurrection of God, our Lord Jesus Christ, second person of the Blessed Trinity. There is nothing pagan about celebrating His Resurrection.

Why is there no Biblical proof of sola Scriptura?

I'm not a proponent of Martin Luther's theology in the slightest. I don't believe I have ever made the "Sola Scriptura" argument before. That smacks of Protestantism of which I reject.

But I will still ask for scripture proof if one's position is so far out in left field to necessitate it! Let's face it. If you are claiming a position that contradicts the very Book you call your guide.....then you should prove up your position.....using that book.....or throw it away.

I leave for several hours to celebrate a birthday and come back and the heretical still persists. Even with the abundance of evidence those who hate Christ’s Church refuse to throw down their heresy and embrace the freedom of Truth.

You mock the Holy Word of God claiming that MIA TWN SABBATWN means: "On the first day of the week!"

Your silly little church is just that......a silly little church!

I wonder which one The Lord considers more sinful?

You do so every time you demand "scriptural proof."

That smacks of Protestantism of which I reject.

You are engaged in protestantism on this very thread.

But I will still ask for scripture proof if one's position is so far out in left field to necessitate it!

Sola Scriptura is a false tradition of men.

If you are claiming a position that contradicts the very Book you call your guide.....

I am not. Nor does His Church.

I have made no such claim.

Your silly little church is just that......a silly little church!

So the mouse roared.

I wonder which one The Lord considers more sinful?

I suspect He finds your second claim more sinful. After all, that is His "silly little church" you are mocking.

So Sola Scriptura is an operating principle you insist upon without the need to validate it: how convenient!

A difference that makes no difference is no difference.

I wonder whether you realize how midieval that statement sounds. I suspect not.
