Sorry friend.

I am just taking God at what He says. That is the power of the Bible. It's simple. It is not complicated. It is all a decision. God says what he says, and then we choose to believe it or not. I choose to believe what God says.

Here are some other verses that support II Chron 7:14.

Jer. 18:7-8 “If at any time I declare concerning a nation or a kingdom that I will pluck up and break down and destroy it, and if that nation, concerning which I have spoken, turns from it’s evil, I will repent of the evil I intended to do to it.”

Jeremiah 29:7 “Also, seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you into exile. Pray to the LORD for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper.

Deuteronomy 7:9 “Know therefore that the LORD your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commands.”

Well, folks need to read all the way to and through verse 19 where God CONTINUES his promise. And it starts with “BUT”. ... and goes on to complete the negative consequences side of His promise.

‘But if you don’t do all that I will re-scourge you.’ (paraphrasing)

You can’t ‘claim’ half of a promise from God.

He said ‘if you do this, I will do that. But if you don’t I will come down on you even harder.’ II Chron 7 is a good chapter to read ALL the way through.

It IS one of my faves.

There are many things in the bible that pertain only to Israel that have been twisted with the replacement theology.

If you read the entire bible Jesus said it would be as in the days of Noe when he returned. which in that day the imagination for evil knew no bounds.

You can pray all you want but it ain't going to change until the new heaven and the new earth.

The wickedness of man will continue and grow and grow and grow. And neither you or anyone else can stop it outside of God and He's not going to do anything until He returns.
