OK, so I’m 50 years old and I never knew until just now that Orthodoix Jewish women wore wigs as a part of their religion.
And if it greatly altered her appearance; I would have told her to take it off. Just like I would have asked a Muslim woman to remove her veil.

I am Orthodox and I wear a wig at work, and at formal functions, but usually I just wear a hat or a scarf.
I also have never been arraigned for welfare fraud or any other crime, but I did have my driver’s license photo taken wearing a head scarf.
I worked with an Orthodox Jewish woman. Each time she had a new baby, she’d get a new wig from her husband. She was up to nine the last time I counted.
