Once again, they seem to be presenting a local demographic shift as a trend in the Catholic Church as a whole.

I agree, first of all, they don’t seem to realize how vast the Church is, and second, I live in a predominately hispanic area and there is no Mass like this. Most of them go to the same Masses as we do unless they don’t speak English, then they go to the Spanish Mass which is just like our Mass, only in Spanish.

**a local demographic shift as a trend in the Catholic Church as a whole.**

Don’t you see it happening in your area? Immigrants are everywhere.

In my area there used to be only one Spanish Mass — now there are four — possibly five within a year, because our church is busting at the seams with our Spanish Mass — providing we get an assistant pastor. Our pastor is already maxed out on the number of Masses he can say.

Not in my area. And not in many areas.
The trend is to go back to a Historical Holy Mass. Even in Steubenville, where the Charismatic movement ruled for a long time, the trend with the students is toward the Post VII 1968 type Holy Mass.

For too long, the students were fed a liturgical diet of fluff. They want and long for a Holy Mass that doesn't look the the Protestant service up the street. And they are getting it.
We need all the Catholics we can get. All of us need to be tolerant of many styles of worship. The exuberant and solemn
