Certainly Christians would have pause about the name Sandrihedrin.
However, in their traditions, it must be a hallowed name.
I understand what you are saying and I did consider that (for the most part AFTER I wrote my comment). Given that this was the first I had heard a new group had been put together, and their first action I had heard of was to talk about restoring a temple where they would encourage us all to pray together AS ONE — well, that just pricked at something in me... Going to have to pray on that a bit to see how deep this goes in me, and why...
It just seems like a really bad “PR” move on their part if their stated intent is to bring Christians, Muslims, and Jews together... ya know? Like I said, I’m going to have to pray on this a bit.
Plus, I need a good night’s sleep and I’m a little “testy” at the moment. I really do hope I haven’t offended any of my Jewish friends here by saying what I did...
Saying I have “no love” for this group of Rabbis and scholars isn’t exactly true, either (already got “pulled up short” on that one right after I posted). Ultimately, we are ALL children of God, and I respect them as such - and I DO have respect them for following what they believe is a good and righteous path even if I completely and totally disagree with them.
The anger I’m feeling is quite unexpected, really, and I’m not sure where it’s coming from... It was just as if upon reading your post something in me just screamed out - NO! Like I said - not sure where that’s coming from and I will pray on it.

And, perhaps that is exactly what I am reacting to and NOT the name chosen by this group. It’s just so strange - the feeling I have... The image in my head when I reflect on my anger is like Jesus in the temple turning over the tables of the money-changers. It’s just all SO wrong!
I have to keep reminding myself that this has already been written and there is nothing any of us can do to prevent these things from coming to pass.
We still have a part to play, and we can still HELP God and His angels, but we can’t prevent any of this.

I take it that this person who is giving the prayer has not read the Prophets about the end times. God paints a very different picture of what will happen than this rosy can’t we all just get along stuff. God said there would be forever enmity between the child of the promise and the child of the flesh.

Actually, IIRC, the Sanhedrin was constructed several years ago—at least a few years ago.

One you left out, and the one that "seals" it for me is Paul Crouch's contention that the "flying scroll" prophecy of Zechariah 5:2 is absolutely, unquestionably fulfilled in the TBN broadcast satellites, two of which fit perfectly in the shuttle cargo bay. Paul definitely has his finger on the pulse of Bible prophecy. And don't you just dig his wife's hair?

That was . . . well down the line from the first meeting. I don’t recall the first meeting. Might even have been in an earlier FR incarnation.
However, a few folks have reveled in tirades and rants against TBN and its founders from the git-go. And, they seem to enjoy combining rants against them, TBN and me. I consider it a kind of paradoxical confirmation, at this point.
I think I’ll stop there. LOL.
