Certainly Christians would have pause about the name Sandrihedrin.
However, in their traditions, it must be a hallowed name.
I understand what you are saying and I did consider that (for the most part AFTER I wrote my comment). Given that this was the first I had heard a new group had been put together, and their first action I had heard of was to talk about restoring a temple where they would encourage us all to pray together AS ONE — well, that just pricked at something in me... Going to have to pray on that a bit to see how deep this goes in me, and why...
It just seems like a really bad “PR” move on their part if their stated intent is to bring Christians, Muslims, and Jews together... ya know? Like I said, I’m going to have to pray on this a bit.
Plus, I need a good night’s sleep and I’m a little “testy” at the moment. I really do hope I haven’t offended any of my Jewish friends here by saying what I did...
Saying I have “no love” for this group of Rabbis and scholars isn’t exactly true, either (already got “pulled up short” on that one right after I posted). Ultimately, we are ALL children of God, and I respect them as such - and I DO have respect them for following what they believe is a good and righteous path even if I completely and totally disagree with them.
The anger I’m feeling is quite unexpected, really, and I’m not sure where it’s coming from... It was just as if upon reading your post something in me just screamed out - NO! Like I said - not sure where that’s coming from and I will pray on it.
