Mathematical Signatures in Nature: A Sign of Design

Math is the universal language, but it is not a human construct. Sure, we create symbols for numbers and mathematical computations, but math itself is more fundamental. 2 + 2 = 4 is universally true, universal in the sense that everywhere in the universe it is true. It does not matter what symbols we create to communicate “2 + 2 = 4” — the equation always remains true. This math can be used so precisely to describe and understand the universe, it is almost as if it is part of the universe itself. A language imbedded in creation, something so sophisticated that chance could not produce it — not unlike the information rich DNA in organic life.

Unlike DNA, math does not transmit information, but it does reveal the intricate order that permeates the universe. We often see math used to describe this order (e = mc2, F = ma, etc.), but do we find these mathematical concepts — discovered or unveiled by inquisitive minds — obvious in nature itself?

This goes back to the issue of first causes... Science doesn't explain *why* the universe exists as it is, but merely demonstrates that its existence is consistent with itself.

I'll check the posts in a second, but I had to reply to this: 2 + 2 = 4 is universally true.

I've seen more than one CPA that disagreed.
