This game summary proves Rush's point. What a (excuse the expression) whitewash.
McNabb was McMediocre and his team barely survived. 16-30 for 150-plus years and 2 INTs is actually worse than mediocre. OK, he had a 54-yard run called back, but his passing was weak.
The comments about Limbaugh are as usual, wrong. He wasn't forced to resign by his remarks. He was forced to resign by the hysterical REACTION to his remarks, and the clear failure of his broadcasting cast to take the heat and stand up for him.

BTW the headline is mine. At espn.com, it's "Philadelphia 27, Washington 25." If Admin Moderator wants to change it, go right ahead.

Obviously I meant 150-plus yards, not years. Oops. The last week has felt like 150 years, between Rush, Arnold, et al.

Liberal spin: McNabb was so upset about that poor little boy who wondered if it was OK to be a black QB, he couldn't concentrate on the game for all the tears streaming from his eyes.

Fox Sports PROVED Rush's assertions immediately after the game proclaiming Donovan the BEST QB ever and a tribute to blackism. (OK, I embellish a mite)
They did say to the effect it was his win. didn't see the game but understand that the win was due to every factor except his ability! Am I right?

It wouldn't matter if he had a record setting game or a poor one...Rush's comments were pointed at the media. McNabb's future on field play (good or bad) will not vindicate Rush. "It's the media Stupid" is my new battle cry...On a related note...Go look at a magizine rack, the media has it in for our troops. I'm sorry to say.

My local Orlando paper had the Rush controversy as a front-page story on Friday and a 2nd page sports-section story on Saturday. What I don't understand (I do) is why there is so much controversy over this issue since supposedly everyone expected this. If this was expected, why are we going on over a week, now? On the other hand, when these stories surface from the unexpected (democrats and libs), they are buried. I guess it's the fault of that right-wing media again.

I expected McNabb to really break out this week. Guys have a habit of responding well to a week worth of negative news. Not McNabb though. I guess he wanted his verbal whining to take precedence over his on-field play.

and his first TD of the season. Prior to that touchdown throw, he had gone 173 attempts without a TD. The next worst in the NFL had gone 60.

What about all the other teams that played today? We should get a low down on all of them.

Stick your head in the garbage, litany.
I am an Iggles fan, though I live in Redskins territory. I watched the second half of the game. I think Donovan McNabb is not a superstar but is a damn good quaterback. And, I think Limbaugh got a raw deal for expressing an opinion.
That said, McNabb didn't have that bad a game and made some key plays in the second half. The Iggles almost blew it, but it was the special teams and defense, not the offense, that made the last 2 minutes so painful to watch.
Take a deep breath, dude.

McNabb should thank Rush. After this flap, he will never be benched.

McNabb will never again get bad press, either. They don't dare.

Interesting that ESPN analyst Bryan Cox still has a job. Appearing on FOX's Best Damn Sports Show Period, Cox took Atlanta LB Keith Brooking to the woodshed. "Sucks," is how Cox described the two-time Pro Bowler, adding that Brooking was the latest great white hype. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/inside_game/duane_cross/news/2003/07/02/in_the_news/

YOU ARE SOOOO RIGHT !After hearing McNabb's stats I had to laugh out loud. He turned in a lousy performance and the Eagles were lucky to beat the Redskins.
As far as ESPN Game Day, those 4 little sissies really felt like big men laying into Limbaugh when he wasn't there to defend himself. The whole point of the "challenge" was to do it with him there. My thoughts, These guys are too stupid, both the two white guys and the two black guys, to engage in real time debate. They need a week to figure out what their position is. I'm embarrassed for them, especially what's his name, Tom Jackson? Now the show consists of 4 little girlie man sissies.
And to top it off, I heard that wimpy Chris Collingsworth say after the game, well McNabb sure did prove Limbaugh wrong. WTF was he thinking? He sure wasn't watching the same game as I did.

I knew the Skins would lose when LaVarr Arrington got a 15 yard Personal Foul penalty for accidentally giving McNabb a dirty look in the first quarter. Wait, that was actually called "roughing the passer."
It must have been really rough, since McNabb actually almost moved his feet when Arrington pulled up and ran into him.

You mean they are playing football, with the Cubs winning haven't notice anything about the Whiney over rated NFL.
It has become so overa rated and so boring.
Haven't seen anything exiciting in the lock step NFL in years.
