Erekat: "God help us all If Israel kills Arafat"

Yasser Arafat (AP)
"We condemn this act, these attacks do not serve the Palestinian interest and do not serve the policies of the Palestinian Authority", Palestinian chief negotiator Saeb Erekat told The Post.
He said pointing the finger at PA Chairman Yasser Arafat was not helpful. Another PA source said it was obvious that Saturday's deadly terrorist bombing did not have the blessing of Arafat, since he knew that Israel was likely to take measures against him.
"If the Israelis kill Yasser Arafat the whole thing (peace process) is over and God help us all - Israelis and Palestinians...that would mean the end of moderation and the rise of fanaticism ", Erekat warned.
Palestinian official said they were expecting Israel to act against Arafat one-way or the other. One Palestinian source said one option for Israel would be to surround the Mukata (Arafat's Ramallah compound) again and isolate Arafat.
Another option was to deport him. Arafat would fight back which might lead to his death, they added. In that case there will be no new Palestinian government. Qurei would take over for sixty days as Speaker of the Palestinian Legislative Council by Palestinian law but would be unable to do anything to calm the situations which would surely explode, PA sources said.
Erekat said he called the Americans after the attack and urged them to get involved in deescalating the situation and push for the implementations of the roadmap, but did not get any answer from the US administration.
"We must look for ways to deescalate the situation ...the only way is to renew the security cooperation and return to the roadmap...violence will not solve the problem", he maintained. . Erekat said Qurei was committed to implement the PA's roadmap obligations.
"Abu Ala knows that his government must implement a policy of no tolerance to multiple authorities".
Whether he will succeed or not will depend on the PA's commitment, Israel's readiness to do its part and the international quartet's willingness to monitor the implementations of the roadmap, he reasoned.
A source close to Qurei also said the small cabinet would be a security oriented government, but did not say what measures Qurei would take if any. Qurei has told the Post that his priority would be to negotiate a ceasefire with Israel. Those who will break that ceasefire would be punished a source close to Qurei added.
Following Saturday's bombing and high death toll, it is highly unlikely that Israel or the US would be satisfied with a ceasefire call.
Palestinian officials conceded that the bombing was complicating Qurei's job. The previous government of Mahmoud Abbas was reluctant to take measures against militants fearing a civil war.

If my employer forces me to work on
Shabbat to keep my job the least I can do is repay him by using some of his time to see the truth about Israel is published wherever possible.
It is past time terrorist-in-chief Yasser Arafat gets what he deserves.

It would be great if Arafat just up and died somehow, someway. The Paleostinian factions would commence warring on each other for at least a few years. This would demonstrate how insanely murderous they are.
Would keep them off Israel's back for a few years as they eat their own.

Don't forget Yassin. Since they're so fond of Jewish holy days, I hope they get a Yom Kippur to remember.

Have they leveled Arafat's compound yet?
He's part of the Palestinian 'terror' family after all. That should mean that his 'house' should be destroyed just like all the other murdering 'terrorist bombers' homes. It just seems like they (Israel) have let it stand for too long.
Am I right or am I way off base (doubt it)?
Oh, give him a coupla minutes to leave, then level it. Vacant or not.

Yes.
...violence will not cure the problem...Erekat is wrong. Like will cure like, especially here. The loading dose must be big, however.

Well G-d should certainly help Eakat if Aafat goes. Hell be looking for a new and an end to the nonsense of Erakat's attention seeking resignations.
Just by the more Israelis and more palestinians were killed in during the 7 years of Oslo than in the 15 preceeding years. So who exactly needs this help if arafat goes?

" Yes. I sent the lawyers and children to murder.
So what. I am a general, well protected by those that love blood, murder and death."

No one in the press forces them to answer whether they think it is also morally wrong to blow up people.

I think the Israelis saw enough of the palistinian "moderation" in Haifa today. What a dolt. He demands the Israelis do nothing. This fat bug-eyed creep may as well have set the bomb off himself.

BAHAHAHAHHAHA...Oh please...there is not going to be peace there...so who cares if they kill him.

Arafat could commit suicide on the pitcher's mound at Yankee Stadium at high noon on the 4th of July and the Pallies would still blame it on the Israelies. It will be their excuse to go totally insane. Now is as good a time as any....

Gee, I guess the homicide bombings are part of the "piece process" and a mark of "moderation."
I welcome the "rise of fanaticism" as long as it comes from the Israelis.
