Dear Mr. State Senator,
We applaud your efforts and supporters for your campaign and running a campaign that has garnered considerable amount of California GOP support.
The major media has emptied out all of the dirt they have against other candidates and it is time for you to make a decision. (with internal polling still having the race within margin for error)
Are you be concerned about being the man that puts Governor Cruz Bustamante in office or a possible political future that could have you as a US Sentor from California.
We urge you to consider this in the next week as election day nears.

I think McClintock can stay in if he ran as an independent at this point. The GOP should have one GOP candidate and the state party should not have to 'endorse' its candidate.

Based on the current polling data that has arnold in the lead regardless I find that letter to be innapropriate and rude.
To: finnman69
Hopefully McClintock will be so offended by the State GOP endorsing Arnold that he will go off half cocked and take himself out of the race..

I also find it to be a grammatical nightmare.

That is only one poll, internals on both sides have the race much tighter..

This is overkill. Looks like Arnold is the winner even with McClintock in the race UNLESS Davis hits Arnold with a dirt bomb between now and Oct 7.
No matter what, McClintock remains my hero.

But a USA Today poll shows that if Arnold drops out, McClintok would easily beat Bustamante. So it is equally true that Arnold would be responsible to put Bustamante in office, if he doesn't drop out and B. wins.

McClintock is only a 42-40 winner over Busta in their own polls. Not a gimme at all

Tom is done in the Republican party, so if he can learn to love drug addiction, he could join the .003% Lib-ertarians.

UNLESS Davis hits Arnold with a dirt bomb between now and Oct 7. It's presumed that the same tactic used by Gore in '00 on Bush will be used by Davis. That is, on Friday some "obscure" independent RAT will drop a bomb in the evening so that "talk radio" won't have time to respond . . . the weekend talk shows will hammer away at it . . . Davis will claim no association with the slander . . . Monday will be too late to respond. Only question is will the independent and moderate RAT voters be fooled.

USA Today puts it 56 -37
here, which would make it a gimme after all.

I think McClintock can announce due to his promise NOT to get out of the race:
"I am staying in the race, but I release my supporters to vote for Arnold S. I will officially stay in the race as a backup candidate in case of dirty tricks against any other Republican."
