Thank you!!!!!!!! I agree!

I read it. I agree. I too am 2nd generation immigrant. I wasn't following the CA elections that closely. I only posted that from the other thread I saw this morning cause I had no idea if it was pertinant, addressed, or moot.

And I can ask the question if I want? Whats it to you?I think non-California freepers should quit posting vanities that start long-winded discussions. We should improve the signla-to-noise ratio and let the folks who are actually voting decide this for themselves. That's just my opinion, folks will do what they want, but at this point in the recall campaign I find it somewhat out of line for folks who don't live in California to be trying to direct the debate on this subject...

I disagree... as someone who researched Arnold fully in August PRIOR to deciding which candidate to support, I can state that Arnold's positions are totally consistent with his views and actions over the last several years. Since it appears your guy is going to take the statehouse in a walk we'll have ample opportunity to see whether or not you are correct.

Why is it tripe? Why would it discredit A.S. if it is a nonissue for him? It only discredits him if he follows in his fathers footsteps; OR if you let someone's past discredit them.
>>>And you just found out about it? Wow.
Yes. Do a search on my post name. You will see for yourself what thread I was on.

Of the responses offered on your thread, what is your conclusion?
Perhaps you should read over the many other threads already posted for a complete determination as an answer to your own question.
Those who are voting for Schwarzenegger are doing so out of common sense, logic and principles. The idea that Schwarzenegger has a larger probability of winning comes into it...but is not first and foremost in the decision making process.
Keep in mind, Delphinium, that those supporting Schwarzenegger have been beat over the head time and again on Free Republic for having a difference of opinion with those that support McClintock. It is only natural we'd be suspect of your motives in beginning such a thread.
Good day,

It seems to be an issue with you, Calpernia. Do you believe Arnold Schwarzenegger is a Nazi? Do you believe he's following in his father's footsteps? Or did you post it to stir the pot?
To: mrs tiggywinkle
I think your comments just now show who has the issue.

an Arnold victory will help Bush in 2004 if Arnold helps him campaign, of course. I believe that Arnold's popularity will help in Bush campaigning around California and will allow some of the people who voted for Arnold to take a look at Bush/Republicans for perhaps the first time. Even if for a RINO, want people out there to pull the (R) level. <<

Pssst--most McClintock supporters here aren't even Californians and aren't even willing to move there.
To: mrs tiggywinkle
Both sides are have those who just want to "beat up" but not all.
My conclusion is that there are many liberal leaning republicans on FR,
and there are many who are going to support the lesser of evil.
I have been a team player in the GOP for many years, but feel we are compromising ourselves out of our most important principles.
(did I get the word right that time?)

In other words, don't put too much stock on an isolated comment. Keep in mind what the politician says overall. You are reading waaaaaaaay too much into my query. And we are likely spending too much time on a moot point. Still, I'll take another stab at it. I am simply curious about whether YoungKentuckyConservative was actually quoting Schwarzenegger or just using quotations for "effect".
Below is YoungKentuckyConservative's comment (shown in green italics):
How will Arnold be any different? He isn't going to send illegals packing. He wants to socialize and "take care of everybody, including the children" and he's working closely with Kennedy and Specter. Uhhhh..smells like another Democrat to me. I'd call Arnold Bustamante-lite.
Again, the use of quotations seemed curious and I was wondering if it was attributed to Schwarzenegger or were they just used for "effect". And if it was made by Schwarzenegger, that I not place too much stock in an isolated comment, is a source available?

7. Schwarzenegger projects a strong image as a leader. Must be something about Austrians...

Verbatim, from a Schwarzenegger zealot.
