Freeper Interview Series: Chad Fairbanks
Patriot Paradox
Posted on 09/25/2003 5:02:51 AM PDT by sonsofliberty2000
The latest interview in the Freeper Interview Series is now online at Patriot Paradox. The interview is with Chad Fairbanks, and here are some highlights:
What are some memories you have of protests or other activist events?
Well, there are so many. In my early years I was always on the side that was cracking down on Left-wing protests. In the navy I had lots of encounters with Greenpeace and the Sea Shepherds, so I would say that was the most enjoyable bit of activism I was involved in - if 'activism' is defined as "Using a fire hose on dirty, smelly hippies".
Also, I have really enjoyed being a part of the Puget Sound chapter of Free Republic (Yo! A shout out to my Puget Sound Homies! Word!). I especially enjoyed the Hillary FReep we put together recently, as that also allowed me to get my children involved. They really had fun making signs.
Have any fears or phobias?
I'm afraid of birds. Oh wait, that's Cathryn. Never mind. I have an irrational fear of shoes.
How would you describe yourself?
6' 5", washboard stomach, rippling muscles, long windswept blonde hair, chiseled features, and piercing green eyes - but that would be really inaccurate.

The FIS is an series of interviews with Freepers to help us understand where our compatriots are coming from. Interviews will be posted twice weekly and we hope this helps us unite and stir up the conservative base. If you have a suggestion of a Freeper who merits interviewing, let me know by Freepmail. Suggesting your own self is perfectly acceptable.

You may want to request a ReWrite on that ping (sounds like Chad more than it does John :-) . Still, keep up the good work.

I just looked in my dictionary, and that very definition is there (with a note that "dirty, smelly hippies" is redundant).

True - I saw that, where it said 'Hippies: (noun) 1. Dirty 2. Smelly'

Great interview and great to know you are out there fighting so hard for our side, Chad :-)
P.S. The only shoes you have to worry about are Birkenstocks... they seem to make people's heads go funny...

Tom Selleck is on FNC right now. Otherwise, I'd be reading your interview. Just thought you'd like to know. ;-D

What? I'm playing second-fiddle to Tom Selleck? Well, I suppose I can live with that... ;0)

I read it. Say, that's a pretty nice interview, kiddo. I'll have to check out the Ken Follett book.
"Don't sweat the petty stuff, and don't pet the sweaty stuff" would be an EXCELLENT tagline, by the way....;-D

An appropriate name for that which turns intelligent, decent people into "trustifarians" ;-)
