I'm planning on voting for the American.

If I were in California I'd do the same thing. McClintock is a true conservative who's not about to surrender the state or country to foreign invaders.

As far as I'm concerned Arnie can go back to Austria and take all ten million illegal aliens with him. And Senator McPain as well.

But how can one sleep at night knowing that they threw away their vote, allowing the worst possible outcome to take place? I'm afraid that for Californians, who will face real consequences resulting from this vote(and which likely will impact all of us in certain ways), they can't just hide behind the mantra of 'voting one's conscience' and simply wash their hands of the results. Pontius Pilate tried that. (Though I can hear a few now, saying that Pilate was a part of God's plan, and thus Bustamante is a part of God's plan, so let's bring on the Babylonians to take us into captivity...)

It is kinda like Sophie's Choice. She could have stood on principle and not made a choice of which child to save, which would have resulted in both her children dying. But she compromised, and at least one child lived. Isn't one saved life better than all lives lost?

Yes, go McClintock, but come next week, whoever is trailing should drop out, and endorse the leader. And conservatives should then unite behind whoever it is that remains as most likely to win.

No.

This is not a general election, and it is not a primary election... it is a Recall and Replacement election, and it is a unique animal.

It's quite important that, even if Schwarzenegger should win, that he do so by a margin considerably less than 50%.

At 50%, Karl Rove will take his cue to advise President Bush to come to California and roll conservatives.

If Schwarzenegger wins, it must be by the most tenuous of mandates:

Stop the bleeding, don't raise taxes. Nothing more.

Deportation is an option

How are you going to find them? Don't get me wrong when they are found they should be deported, and cities/counties/states that don't fully cooperate should find their federal funds being cut. But it's not like they are walking around with a sign on saying illegal immigrant deport me.

"Most of the men work in jobs that offer extremely low wages."

This isn't true anymore, if it was ever true. Illegal aliens are being found all over the U.S. and a lot of them are making $10.00 an hour or more.

I believe 40,000 illegal aliens have successfully committed fraud on home loan applications in the Denver area alone. Millions of them have defrauded our federal programs nation-wide.

Illegal aliens are stealing federal home loan program dollars right out from under the U.S. Taxpayers and America's own first time home buyers.

There are plenty of illegal aliens out there with mucho to lose.

You're only kidding yourself when you talk like you've fallen for the 'they're only doing the jobs Americans won't do' lie.

You need to follow a few of these illegal immigration threads. Our agricultural industries don't need cheap migrant labor. Agriculture needs pressure to mechanize.

If we furnish them with an endless supply of migrant laborers, at U.S. Taxpayers expense, the farm and orchard owners will never invest in machinery.

So-called cheap agricultural laborers aren't cheap to the U.S. Taxpayers, at all.

I've got news for you. When you add in all the billions these 3rd-world Marxists steal from government programs, your cheap lettuce is already costing us $5.00 a head.

Whereas, according to the research, farm laborers would have to be paid $260 per hour for lettuce to cost us $5.00 per head in the stores.

We don't need illegal immigrants. We need jobs with higher wages and the homes these 3rd-world, Marxist scum have stolen for American families.

Look at the additional pictures this thread is linked to. See those two guys squatting next to that dumpster in the middle of the damn afternoon?

They need to be wearing signs??? LOL!

Read my post #74.

Why is it so Easy for our Politicians to send our American Military Soldiers off to a foreign Country to possibly give up their lives to make a better life for someone they don't know???????
But it is impossible to get the same Politicians to send Illegal Aliens of all Stripes back where they cams from when we don't know how many come here to Kill us and cause Damage, And the politicians could care less!!!

Kali is primarily esponsible for ALLOWING illegals to stay in Kali, therefore, it is their problem, not a national issue. If anything, because Kali is a border state, they OWE the rest of us money for the other 14 million that live in the rest of the country.

I stand by my comment. I am of the opinion that the only thing that will make the California electorate come to its senses is a serious shock to its system; absent that, it will just keep on Cruzin'.

How are you going to find them?

Exactly. You will not see the military, the INS, the FBI, or any other Federal or State groups searching for illegals and loading them on trucks and cattle cars for shipment to the border. In many cases, the newest members of illegal families are babies who were born here....and are US citizens. Deportation is not an option.

Amnesty is the high price we must pay for not controlling our borders. Any groups containing millions of people who are NOT leaving must be assimilated or a massive sub-culture will form at enormous expense and trouble for the entire country. If they are not assimilated under our rules, they will assimilate under their own rules.

Amnesty is not an option.

You want to split the Republican Party, and send a few million votes packing?

Push Amnesty.

How are you going to find them? Don't get me wrong when they are found they should be deported, and cities/counties/states that don't fully cooperate should find their federal funds being cut. But it's not like they are walking around with a sign on saying illegal immigrant deport me.

They're often standing around. On any given morning, I can find you a couple of hundred, standing on street corners in Los Angeles. Sensitive, handwringing politicians call them "day laborers."

The point is to get started on deportation. The key to securing the border is deportation from the interior.

Amnesty is the high price we must pay for not controlling our borders.

Deportation is the only way to secure the borders. Have you ever calulated the high price of a wall, or a militarized border, just with Mexico? Won't happen, won't work.

Illegals are encouraged to come here by our failure to deport them and our talks of Amnesty. Well over 90% of deported Illegals are captured within three days of crossing the border. As long as there is no fear of deportation from the interior, and hopes are raised that political cowards will offer them Amnesty, Illegal Aliens will continue to violate our laws and borders.

Deportation is actually the primary option.

Unless you are willing to declare marshall law the military can't partake in civilan law enforcement duties.
As for the INS lets remember there are only so many INS agents and only 24hrs in a day.(OH how I hate coming to the defence of the INS that fluster cluck of an agency)

I'd have no problem with Amnesty if I thought it would solve the problem. But we've been there..done that..got the t-shirt, and last time I checked there was still an immigration problem in this country.
One of the things we need to do is put pressure on a certain country just south of the border to get their economic act together. As I've said before until Mexico (and the rest of central/south america for that matter) start to improve their ecomomies there really isn't a whole lot we can do.

Rove must love Schwarzenegger.

They both believe in MexROF, i.e.: Mexicans are the Republicans of the Future. Apparently it is a future in which Schwarzenegger-type 'Republicans' will hold office on the strength of the Mexican vote. The Republican theory de jour is that the "conservative family values" Mexicans will flock to the GOP to counteract rival minority groups and women who flock to the Democrats.

Can't wait to hear Austrian-Accented Spanish. It sure didn't work for Emperor Maximilian.

Why can no one in goverment say the magic words, "Border Controls?" And why does Bush listen to an idiot like Karl Rove?

Deportation is actually the primary option.

How many millions of illegals do you expect will be deported? Who will hunt them down? Will dogs be used to hunt them? Who will deport them? When will the deportation start? What about the illegals with children who are US citizens? How much will it cost? How many people will die? Will the anti-deportation riots start in Los Angeles, or San Francisco or El Paso or the whole southwest....?
