BEHIND THE HEADLINES Latest contender for president comes from long line of rabbis By Ron Kampeas
WASHINGTON, Sept. 17 (JTA) Raised a Southern Baptist who later converted to Roman Catholicism, Gen. Wesley Clark knew just what to say when he strode into a Brooklyn yeshiva in 1999, ostensibly to discuss his leadership of NATO´s victory in Yugoslavia. "I feel a tremendous amount in common with you," the uniformed four-star general told the stunned roomful of students.
"I am the oldest son, of the oldest son, of the oldest son at least five generations, and they were all rabbis."

Oh boy just what we need, another pro-choice "Catholic" He does look like a contender, unfortunately.

The article indicates a strong pro-Israel and anti-Arab stance. Any evidence this is true? What will the Rats think of THAT?

Well, MEG I hadn't read your post when I wrote mine. So how could I have any idea what you would say?
I agree he sounds pro-Isreal and tough on the Arabs, that's why I think he's a contender. But I don't like anyone who is in favor of killing innocent children, for what ever reason, getting into office.

ROTFLMAO... talk about a pander-bear!
Clark's the biggest panderbear since the Europeans handed Czechoslavakia to Germany. I guess Clark figures that since he claims he was raised southern Baptist he will appeal to protestants, and claims to be Catholic so as to appeal to Catholics, he can now claim to be of Jewish lineage. Radical islam already considers him one of "the boys."
I guess we're going to see him reveal his Wiccan/Santeria/Shinto/Budhist/Hindu backgrounds next.

I believe it's a plus for many of them.I guess it's a feeling but I've always thought America was pro Israeli even though there are disagreements among the "pros" on policy. The pro Palis are the wacko ,lib, leftists ..or the isolationists who don't want us embroiled in this at all.

"I speaking of his pro Israel stance." Really?
Then why would he NOT have approved the actions our President has taken in our war against terrorism...?
He apparently still believes - we can live in tandem with the lunatics of Militant Islam.... He is wrong.
They must be destroyed...that is the function of war...

This is getting foolish. John Kerry, about 6 months ago
said that a past family member was Jewish, and Hillary
a few months ago said that her Step-Grandfather was a Jew.
My God, these people are living in a fantasy world.

Wesley Clark the perfumed prince of the pentagon would be an embarassment to anyone outside the Kennedy Klan or the (gag) Klintoons. ;-) My condolences.

General Clark, a descendant of a long line of rabbis, became the 10th current Democratic Party Presidential prospective nominee (during a hurricane, too). And here I thought it was about Al Gore and Joe Lieberman:
Revelations 17:11 The beast that was, and is not, is himself an eighth king and yet is one of the seven, and is going to destruction.
17:12 The ten horns that you saw are ten kings who have not yet received a kingdom, but will receive ruling authority as kings with the beast for one hour.
17:13 These kings have a single intent, and they will give their power and authority to the beast.
17:14 They will make war with the Lamb, but the Lamb will conquer them, because he is Lord of lords and King of kings, and those accompanying the Lamb are the called, chosen, and faithful.
On the other hand, I really hadn't suspected quite that out of "W", but there's this group of students in Iran who believe him to be the Mahdi!
Certainly some mysterious stuff, eh?!

Uhhhhg, that's a scary thought that he might even get the chance.

I fail to understand how Clark believes he can get the Jewish vote, when he himself isn't part of the Jewish community. It's like Madeline Albright suddenly rediscovering her Jewish heritage. Because she has "Jewish blood" in her veins, are we supposed to forgive her bad policies?
