September 16, 2003 -- THOUGH recent unemployment numbers were disappointing, the Commerce Department has reported second-quarter economic growth of 3.1 percent and many economists now predict third and fourth quarter growth approaching 5 percent. And a variety of other indicators suggest genuine economic recovery is finally under way.

All of this is true. But they need to do stats on the 8 years of the Clinton Administration.

Having said that, this President seems to do everything in his power to hemmorhage jobs overseas. He makes it easy for companys to move there and guarantees loans for them. Then he expands the H1B and L1 visa program so that foreigners can take the few livable wage jobs remaining.
'
New L catagory visas are now in the works to enable Doctors and medical professionals as well as electricians, plumbers, etc to come here and take the jobs of yet MORE Americans.

Then there's the border problem. Americans who have been "downsized" and have to settle for low paying jobs are now being displaced by Mexican illegal aliens. They're certainly silent about that.

Bush is also pushing to allow the Mexican truckers into the country so they can take the trucking jobs away from American truckers.

The next time he looks in the camera with concern and a glycerine tear in his eye whining about "Jobs for Americans", remember how far he's gone to insure that even more Americans are unemployed.

Of the many you told, I'll reply to this distorted lie.

The provision is too allow Mexican truckers to take their cargo to the final destination instead of having to drop off their load and have it then taken on it's last leg by American truckers.

This is nothing but an employment protection racket by the unions and it increases the cost and time of moving the increasing amount off goods coming through Mexico.

It's also political hay for politicians who whine about Mexican truck safety while they give drivers licenses to illegal aliens and demand we give them welfare, health care and an education at taxpayer expense. All to get their vote.

There are plenty of jobs in the truck driving industry without resorting to this needless protectionism. That's why almost every semi I drive by has a sign on the back advertising for drivers.

Greetings ETERNAL WARMING and others infected with neo-liberal selective memory:

Having said that, this President seems to do everything in his power to hemmorhage jobs overseas.

Funny thing, seems Slick Willie passionately lobbied for, and then shoved a bitter NAFTA pill down the Nation’s throat.

Furthermore, President Bush demonstrated superb leadership when he refused to honor the neo-liberal’s US job destruction “wet dream” of the Kyoto Protocol.

New L catagory visas are now in the works to enable Doctors and medical professionals as well as electricians, plumbers, etc to come here and take the jobs of yet MORE Americans.

Funny thing, seems Slick Willie actively lobbied for, and heavy handedly persuaded our Medical Schools to reduce student enrollment.

Perhaps the Slick One and his “world axis of socialism” neo-liberal wobblie pals set the table for a future health care project designs?
