We're Beginning To Need The Right

Lyrics by Pascal Fervor, ©2003 PascalFervor.com,
sung to the tune of I'm Beginning to See the Light,

We've never been harmed like this before,

High taxes, our jobs trimmed to the core.

It's time to get up off of the floor,

Gray Davis's recall's right.

You know those power contracts aren't pure,

Gray's signing them made the state real poor,

Tom's plan will fix them evermore,

So you know who will save our lights.

[Bridge]

Cruz will scramble to embark

upon new programs on a lark,

but then full panic he will spark

when his pander bills come due

Arnie needs Pete Wilson's guided tour

Buffet wants prop 13 out the door

But McClintock's fought the creeps before,

Are you beginning to see who's right?

The voters have had enough of liars

And see thru screen-idol office buyers

Tom'll yank State greed with his pliers

Vote Tom McClintock so he can fight.

[possible lines for fading out]

Gray Davis' recall's right

Now you know who's in the right

Vote McClintock cause he will fight.

Vote McClintock for us he's right.

Are you beginning to see the light?

If I were you, I'd get to the nearest drug store ASAP and see if they have an over-the-counter medicine for that severe case of recall fever that you're apparently suffering from.

Arnold, the Kennedys and Oprah: That is really an axis of vapidity. ;-)

1. No, actually, many in-state Californians would like Tom to step down as well.

2. What bash? I simply posted a picture, reflecting an opinion, in a light-hearted way. Don't be so thin-skinned.

3. Are you suggesting that non-Californians (even--thankfully--ex-Californians)are not allowed to hold or express an opinion on this recall fiasco?

I see your sense of humor is still intact. Well, so is mine. I got so tired of all the mindless bickering that has built nothing constructive, that I chose to come up with this.

It has humor, the tune is upbeat and catchy, and the lyrics deal with many of the problems and people plaguing our state. And, most of all, it was fun to compose.

O.K., now let's see you come up with something a quarter as constructive. < G >

Well, ya see D1, it is possible to have fun with this recall election, take aim at many of the big issues, and still get morons who will skirt the issues.

The tune is upbeat, just like McClintock has been all along -- especially surprising for someone with a near legendary (now) lack of "charisma."

I hope you remember the tune. You're old enough. < G > If you're so old that you don't remember, the link at #1 will cheerfully assist you. :)

I came to this thread when the day was starting out in a positive manner. I read your offering and immediately developed a craving for coffee.

For the last few minutes I've been contemplating something with the fervor of an aquiescent child at the budhist teacher's feet.

Ponder this: Is it that you've had one cup too much coffee, or that I have had one cup too few?

Ah the grand mysteries of life.

Heh heh heh. Just giving you a hard time. Nice job. Will it save McClintock's bacon? That remains to be seen. ;-)

I don't often venture into your hobby, let alone make an offering.
