Europeans are, essentially, children. They live in these consequence-free societies where the Nanny-state can make everything better and nothing is ever an individual citizen's responsibility.

The whole welfare-state thing kind of worked if a society was 100% Swedish or whatever. However, over the last couple of decades, Europeans have imported millions of people from the third-world who are more than happy to sponge off of the society while contributing little or nothing back. They keep this up, and their societies will quikcly find themselves overwhelmed.

As will we because we are essentially a cradle-to-grave, highly taxed nanny state. Dean is running on a platform of repealing all Bush's tax cuts. Clinton was yabbering on about how he doesn't need the money. To your average illegal Mexican or section 8 mommy this sounds SO right. YEAH! Raise taxes on 'those people'. The protected classes continue to grow at a rate far beyond those who are supposed to 'grin an bear it'.

California is a crystal ball, and even the Termanator can't change basic math.
