Prayer request for Sara Grace (a preemie)

I would like to ask all of you to pray for my friend, Marijon's granddaughter. Her name is Sara Grace. She was born on June 6, 2003, 3 months early. She weighed 1 pound 6 ounces at birth. She has been in neonatal ICU since that time. At 2 weeks of age, she had to have a colostomy for perforated bowel. As you can imagine, she has had ups and downs, but as of last week was weighing a whopping 4 pounds! Last Thursday, they did surgery on her to re-connect her colostomy. On Sunday, she developed an infection, and on Monday her heart stopped beating, and she stopped breathing. They got her heart beating again, and she is now on a vent. The doctors say they think it was the infection that caused her heart to stop, but thus far, they have not been able able to determine the type of infection, although they know it's bacterial. She is on two different kinds of antibiotics, and today, 24 hours later, she is trying to breathe on her own, and they are trying to wean her off the vent. The doctors say the next 24 hours will be most critical. I would appreciate the prayers of all you prayer warriors for this precious little girl.

Thanks for today's update. I have thought of her often and pray whenever she comes to mind. I ask God to let her and Logan be completely healed. Let it be the power of prayer, the voices of the faithful glorifying God, that lift them to absolute health. Please God, let others be touched by the faith of their families and friends and Freepers, so that Your goodness will be revealed to those who haven't made room in their hearts for You.

Update! Great news about Sara Grace! Prayers are being answered!!

Sara Grace's grandmother called and said they have taken her off the vent. Her blood gasses are great. They have found out the type of infection she had and as luck would have it they were giving her the right antibiotics. They are thinking now that she may only have to be on antibiotics 7-14 days. Sara Grace was real excited to get her pacifier and hopefully she will get a bottle in a couple of days. Sara Grace's mom held her this morning this was the first time she got to be held since Monday when the problems started.
