[history]
Joseph Fitzgerald Jr. served in the Marine Corps from 1980 to 1986. He recalled yesterday how he lost friends and squadron members in a suicide-bomb attack in Beirut in 1983, just two barracks from where he lived.
"I can sympathize with what the U.S. soldiers are going through now" in Iraq, he said. "President Bush just declared the war over, so why are soldiers still dying every day?"

Sorry, Times Distort has no pics online. The freaks looked just like they did marching in Monroe Park back '68. Thirty five years later, some things never change.

The only truth reported is that we are in Iraq. The rest is garbage.

But where were they when we were bombing Kosovo? Probably cheering all the way and listening to Christianne and her claptrap.

"President Bush just declared the war over, so why are soldiers still dying every day?" Obviously his hearing and comprehension have been impaired.
Chanting slogans
One of many traits liberals have in common with islamic terrorists.
Earlier, in Monroe Park, the protesters ate food served by members of Food Not Bombs
Sometimes, E. coli can be your friend.
Ali Abed, a Palestinian-American activist, urged the crowd to support efforts against Israeli occupation in Palestine.
I.E., murdering innocent bus riders.
"My grandfather fought in World War II to defend us from the people who are in control of our government right now,"
Monumental stupidity.

Ever notice the fact that most of these anti-American stories start out quoting some "ex-serviceman"?

Info from an American U. site says Ms Osita Iroegbu was a graduate print journalism student from Virginia. She formerly worked as a freelancer for The News Journal in Wilmington, Del. after an internship there and later interned at Roll Call Daily in Washington, D.C.
I thought Ms Iroegbu did a good job of reporting. I was all set for typical mainstream BS about how Joe and Jane Average citizen are being moved to protest "Bush's war." Always in those cases you run Joe's and Jane's name through google and you find they are long-time hate-America activiists. Ms Iroegbu included the "protestors'" groups' names. Good work!
Most "reporters" are merely employees of a mainstream "news" organization. They type, we shake our heads.

Yes, I did notice. That was a strike against the reporter. But I think mainstream "news" organizations have macros coded to automatically generate opening paragraphs. :)

"Jen Lawhorne, one of the organizers of the rally and a member of Food Not Bombs."
Isn't this one of the reasons we went in there? The people of Iraq were not getting the food, but were being tortured?

Goes to show just how stupid people are. Here's a guy making the ink that we are in Palestine. They can't even stay on topic. Just anti-Bush.

I didn't see it coming. It would have been a great crowd to sneak in with holding up a sign that said "Support Palestinian Heros Who Blow up Zionist Infidel Children on Buses" or something like that.

"My grandfather fought in World War II to defend us from the people who are in control of our government right now," he said, holding an anti-war sign. "I hope the protest wakes people up."
Someone should send this comment to O'Reilly as a candidate for the most ridiculous item of the day. What an absolutely idiotic comment.
To: putupon
"food not bombs"
I agree totally. The suicide bombers should stop what they are doing and use their resources to provide food for their people.
