My impression is that Buffet considers himself to be a moral man with a conscience.
How a guy smart enough to start with a relatively small stake and parlay it into billions could, at the same time, be short sighted enough to be a follower of leftist philosophy is beyond me. Yet it seems to be a fact.

Somehow I can't imagine Warren singing, "it's my own damned fault."

Really? As I wrote early, I believe there are many leftists in that category, but Warren is different. The hairs on the back of my neck stand on end when I read about his Planned Parenthood donations. There's something hugely sinister about having that much money and donating it to the killing off of children. I don't think he's moral. I believe he has committed himself to the Dark Side. I can't say that I know that, of course, but he serves, at the very least, as a warning to those who have fortunes: "It is easier for a camel to pass through they eye of a needle.."

"Most over-rated man in the history of finance." Although it seems kind of hard to call a guy over-rated who became through investing one of the country's wealthiest men.

Well, he may be on the "dark side" on many issues (in fact he makes me angry also), but I am thinking he himself doesn't see it that way.
Is abortion the main thrust of Planned Parenthood? Not that I want the thread to turn into an abortion thread.

I'm familiar with that quote of course, but find it kind of too close to socialism.

Warren "all the taxes you can eat" Buffet (spelling intentional) is a typical limousine liberal. Anyone who can't see that taxation on dividends is double taxation is an idiot in my book.

Actually, it's the story of freedom fighters--rich men who risk their entire fortune, and thus preserve it--by fighting the good fight: Washington, Henry, Hancock. If a man holds onto his fortune too tightly, he becomes something like the Berlin Jew who packs his suitcase, hiding his stock certificates in the lining, and hoping for the best.

You think that's what it means? I always took it to be a general condemnation of some having wealth while others were poor.

Charlie Manson thinks that he and his girls are moral with a conscience. They have a little different perspective from you and me. They sure did terminate Sharon Tate's pregnancy with a Bowie knife and without any qualms when she was in the eighth month of her very wanted pregnancy. Buffett has the resources to work on a wider canvas while keeping his hands from dripping blood visibly but he is a lot more effective at the same racket.
On the Sunday after 9/11, Rockford Catholic Bishop Thomas Doran said: Some people say it does not matter what you think or what you believe in. Those who think that may find themselves flying passenger airliners into office buildings.
The story line you use can be titled Horatio Alger does a Margaret Sanger on his way straight to.........
As to Schwarzenkennedy: Arnie, show me your friends and I'll tell you what you are.

"What do you think of Warren Buffet?"
"Margaritaville" gets old, but "Come Monday" will always be a classic.

Those who misunderstand Christianity look at it that way, because it serves their ends. Christ was merely saying that money can become a god in itself and that we all have an obligation to ease each others' burdens. If we actually did that, we wouldn't need federal welfare agencies. The breakdown of cultural reformed Christianity in America is what gives rise to the welfare state.

What reason would Arnold have to keep his mouth shut or lie????? He has refused to take an anti-tax pledge. His campaign manager is Planned Barrenhood Pete Wilson, who imposed the greatest tax hike in California history to its time upon lying his way into the governorship. His HERO and MENTOR (Arnold's rare words,. not mine) thinks Prop 13 that keeps Calisocialists on a shorter tax leash must go. OK. where are they hiding the turnip truck fleet?

Just a meddling Jackass on Prop 13.
If CA needs more $$$, write them a check Warren - don't screw-over the rest of the people.
