For St. Andrew's Church on Woodmont Boulevard, the Episcopal Church may as well be dead.

''We have draped our signs in black and covered the word Episcopal as a symbolic way of disassociating ourselves from the actions of the General Convention of the Episcopal Church,'' said the Rev. James Guill, the church's rector.

Black tape covers the word ''Episcopal'' on the signs around St. Andrew's Church. The church also blacked out the word on the emblematic sign, ''The Episcopal Church welcomes you.''

Those former episcopal church's are to be highly commended for actually Following Gods Word as presented in the bible.

Episcopalians who actually practice religion and not socialism should absolutely SPLIT from it's fallen bretheren.

That's my parish. Cool! We were on the local TV news Tuesday night. Now even the local (liberal) newspapaer has picked up on it.

Good for them.

At least some people are standing up against the tide of the homosexual agenda.

You know the 'tide' is really only a tide in the mind of the media. It is advertised far beyond its real dimensions. That is the story which we should repeat. It is a joke on us, that the mediaa touts its own horn & plays at being important-the homosexuals are 1%-nothing!

Democrats want to get their gay vote to 90%, up from 70%. This won't end.

Sad, is right! What was the church thinking back in the early 90's when it started ordaining gay priest? None of this Righteous Indignation showed up back then. Well at some point one of them was going to be in line for the job of bishop.

No it won't end in the near term. It will run to conclusion-when whatever is left of Western Civ abandons Materialism & a new spiritual age begins. Not some goofy tribulation-I mean a real historical cycle.

No...the Righteous indignation was there...it just wasn't media material and the FreeRepublic did not yet exist to warn you.

Good for you and your congregation, Pastor Guill.

When companies are passing benefits for same-sex couples, when cities are opening up schools exclusively for homosexuals, when states are passing laws prohibiting discrimination based on where one puts their penis, it is much more than a media phenomenon, or media induced non-reality.
